O Monkeys.

I wish I had something uplifting to say, I do not. I was so pissed about her I emailed Leonard, as it is more local to him.
Not that I think he is altruistic, but his presence can facilitate chatter and movement.  I just hate this. How does this baby face these things in a normal enviornment. I am SO trying not to go there, but how can't I? My kids are older and I do not let them ride their bikes in our neighborhood without supervision, and LOL, I have checked out everyone here.
(sorry, occupational hazard, true)

She's just a baby. Just a damn baby girl.  I am on overload and about to unleash a way non-productive rant, therefore I am self-imposing a time out for Sandra's case. Let's see how I do.
I am praying for Sandra tonight.

I know Blink....I feel the same way.  Good idea about emailing Padilla...I'm not a big fan of his but this needs more attention for sure.  I was reading on a few of the news sites and alot of people have emailed Nancy Grace so I'm hoping Sandra gets some air time on there.

An 8 year just doesn't *run away* like this....especially with all the security cameras, im sure someone would have seen something....IMO.

Candlelight vigil
Written by Cheri Matthews
Sunday, 29 March 2009

More than 100 people turned out tonight to pray for missing Sandra Cantu in front of the mobile home park.

Apparently the gpa installed surveillance camera in front of the home two weeks ago his tires were slashed, he surmised this was due to him finding stray cats on his property and taking them to the pound.

Parents questioned by detectives yesterday, Mom was too distraught the day prior.

Gotta say it, if it's true that the Mom was too distraught, that really bugs me. Can you imagine being too distraught to answer det questions to find your child? I can't. I hope to hear LE come out and clear the parents by today, so the focus can shift appropriately.

"Somebody here knows who has taken her because it's not a missing anymore. It's an abduction," said Sandra's grandfather Joe Chavez.

But, Tracy police, working with the FBI, are not calling it an abduction. They still say it is still a missing persons case.

"We're bumping up on two solid days. It's a very strong concern of anyone that someone would be missing for that long without any word. But, it doesn't change the fact that we're still working to facilitate her safe return," said Sgt. Tony Sheneman.

They are hoping the surveillance cameras recently installed outside the Cantu's mobile home might provide a clue. The FBI is studying the video which police say captured Sandra Friday evening in front of her house as she was walking away from the park's front entrance.

"Hopefully this turns out to be a godsend, having it up there," said Chavez.
Investigators searched every car that entered and left the mobile home park Sunday. They also searched every home inside the park.

I pray i'm never a parent in a situation like this, but you're right...how can you NOT be able to answer crucial questions that may help find your missing child???

I think the Mom is feeling partly responsible since she obviously let this little girl wander around by herself for what seems to be long periods of time

first thought that came to mind with this sentence....Cindy Anthony on the Greta show soon after Caylee was reported missing.....something like..... Unless If you want to see me collapse right here, I am so exhausted that I can't answer any questions....<<<<not the exact wording but you probably remember when she did that....it was an WTF moment for me....Cindy already knew about Caylee.....
who would not want to answer any and all questions that might lead to where your missing child might be????

The press is reporting police spoke to and searched every home in the park, which is different than what I read perviously that the nearby homes were searched?

Investigators also have been inside every home in the park, Sheneman said.

Sandra's father, who relatives said has not been involved with the family for some time, apparently was en route from Southern California on Sunday but is not a suspect, Sheneman said.

Nothing else really new in this one....

how can a father/mother NOT be in involved with the family for some time????
this always blows my mind when I hear stuff like this....do fathers/mothers move away and just forget that they have children who might need them or want to see them??
I am betting that this mother did not receive any child support from this father <<<< using term loosely....since he has not been involved for some time...
