Unless it was brand new luggage, I would think a suitcase would be just full of fibers and trace evidence, too.  Possibly even fingerprints inside.

Exactly.  I can not even count how many times I have pinched myself with the zippers when trying to cram that last outfit in by sitting on the luggage and zipping or fastening.  So if this luggage was not brand new for sure there are some skin cells, prints, sweat, and/or fluids from soiled clothes due to use.

Hope of rescuing 8 year-old Sandra Cantu collapsed yesterday, when police located the child's body in Tracy, California. But there is still hope for other Tracy children--and it's in the hands of Tracy leaders.

Law enforcement officials investigating the disappearance of Sandra Cantu recently revealed that they had identified 60 area suspects trafficking in child pornography online.

These criminals don't traffic in heroin or crack cocaine. They traffic in crime scene photos and movies of the rape, torture and degredation of children. And their foul market can only be supplied one way.

Research shows that a large percentage of the Tracy 60 will have local child victims. They will be parents, teachers, coaches, neighbors, even convicted sex offenders. Anyone who thinks these criminals are simply "looking at pictures" has his head deep in the sand while a human rights tragedy unfolds all around him.

The announcement about the Tracy 60 showed rare courage for a local police force. By acknowledging the existence of these criminals in their midst, Tracy authorities admitted publicly that they know where child predators are and just haven't dedicated the resources to go get them... yet.

Now Tracy has the opportunity to fire a shot that will be heard around the world. If they continue on with their investigation, tracking down every child pornography trafficker they have evidence of, they will surely save other Tracy children. They will prove the connection between child pornography crimes and child sexual assault in the most dramatic way possible, just when the entire nation is watching. And that will raise the stakes for communities who refuse to take similar action.

What sad news ..another child murdered and thrown away.  There is just too much of this type of senseless crime going on today with children as victims.

I have a question.  Since the pastor was not, as far as we know, a POI prior to yesterday..do we know for certain what lead the LE to his home and church?  Was it something in the suitcase like a note or was it a tip?  Something definite had to send them in his direction.

Very good tip Blink.  My father does this on a monthly basis and shows the photos of each disgusting individual to my siblings so they know for sure.

Shenemen says no to on or in the suitcase, but when asked if the suitcase was linked to a particular person he would not answer.
The Mobile home was searched first last night, and then the church, but He also stated they had spoken to Lawless previously. Maybe he told them someone stole luggage from somewhere or that he threw it out?

Seeing how the new search warrants were issued and served hours after Sandra was found yesterday...I would guess that something in that suitcase led them to the church/pastor. Or they had him/it in their radar before and finding the body gave them what was needed to get a warrant.

I ran one yesterday for my mom's home, and my son's fathers home.  I gave them to both my mom and my ex.  They both thought I was crazy.  I don't care.  I put them on their refrigerator's and told them to leave them there.  I have an automatic email alert for my home address.

Don't just teach your kids/nieces and nephews about NOT talking to strangers because odds are if something happens it will be someone they know.

Let them know that Adults do not EVER need a kids help. Not to find another child, to ask for directions or to find a lost ball/puppy/kitty, etc...
That their body is their own and if anyone ever tries to touch them, to tell another adult. Never keep it a secret.
That if any adult tries to take them or pull them into a car to scream NO, fight, bite, punch, and scream bloody murder.

I have that allert as well.  It is very good, even if you do not have children, your neighbors might not be as saavy as you are.  You can also join through Facebook for updates, which I have found a lot of information from as well.

I was thinking that whomever did place her body there had to know that it would be found.  If the irragation pond was just drained and refilled 2 weeks ago, and then is now being drained again..it would seem it is frequently used in that way by the diary farm owner.  Once again shoddy planning?  Was this a crime that was not thought out..he just saw her and took her?  As always so many questions only the perp, and the people around him can answer.  I pray that whatever questions Sandra's family have the perp answers for them. 

I think the laws have to change inorder to change our society.  Pedophile's do not think of their targets as vics.  They believe what they are doing is okay.  So how do we inact tougher laws and educate communities and families and children so this crime is not comitted over and over again.  Why do we let sex offenders out in the first place...isn't it more humane to our society as a whole to keep them locked up and away from harming others.  It has been found over and over agaain that sex offenders re-offend.  There is no cure for this mental perversion..there is no tried and true therapy..so why keep kidding ourselves that because they did this once they won't do it again?

You are so right...another prime example of the perp's rights are more important than the victims.  We need tougher laws to protect our children.  Maybe a law that says one strike on a child under 16 and you are gone for life.

All of the forensic psych's say that they are INCURABLE.  If they had a communicable disease...wouldn't they be committed to a hospital?

Unfortunately today's world is more about not "hurting people" and "stigmatizing" people than to protect the innocent. We have made many crimes and amoral behavior acceptable by not making people feel bad for doing bad things. This is the way that society has kept people in check for many years. Now we do not do that so people feel the freedom to run a muck. Remember hearing that when you would steal a horse they would chase you down and shoot you - now we make the thief feel good and tell them that it is ok and you can do better next time.

I hope so, if I had a preference it would sound very crude with what I'd like to see happen to this monster.   Did I read correctly that Sandra's mom was in the hospital?    Is the next presser still scheduled for 3:30 Pacific time?

I do think LE has "direction" as stated in the morning presser.  Whoever did this is going to be punished and they are being VERY careful not to do anything that could be used to lessen how much they are punished.

Also they don't even have to bargain to find remains.  No deals for the perp in this and I do think they will be found and quickly.

Not quickly enough to suit us but quickly via the correct channels.  There may be surveillance to gather more evidence or for him to further incriminate himself.

I believe Sandra's mom fainted and was taken to the hospital last night.  Not sure if she is still there.  Yes, PC at 3:30pm.

There are 2 POIs being interviewed right now. There is also a church that has been taped off with crime scene tape that the police feel is part of the crime scene. Hopefully justice will be swift for Sandra, may she RIP. Her poor, poor family
