So far, I have determined what is compatable with my PC.

Will adding more memory alone increase the speed of it or is there something else I should add?

Well, heh heh, depends on what your definition of 'speed' is.

Yes, adding memory is about the most cost effective upgrade that folks can do to improve a PC's performance.

In most cases you can never have enough memory.

Adding memory will allow doing more things at once, like loading several windows at once, multitasking, keeping different programs loaded and toggleling between them.

If you don't have enough memory for what you are doing on your PC the OS, usually WXP will go to 'virtural memory' or write memory info to disk temporarily while it deals with new stuff in memory and then swap that info back and forth from disk to memory as needed, a very slow process.
More memory can help avoid this.

The most intensive memory using program you can use on a PC is image editing software.

If you do a lot of image maniuplation then additional memory would be quite helpful.

You are so correct about computers and I love that pic of you. I agree about the image editing software.
