Someone tried to break into my house tonight.
I am very scared now. All the dogs did was bark at him.
Cops still out looking for the guy.
He jumped the fence. Neighbor boy heard me screaming and scared him out of the yard. Guy said, "OH, SHIT" when he saw Roy.

sorry to hear this...that sucks....

and most cops are lazy idiots...not wanting to do any paperwork...

I doubt that the "fare" ever came into discussion. I've always thought that parking in the queue was more for the appearnce of a taxi to not only Nat, but any witnesses.

Nat's friends were all gone by the time she got away from them.

My "connection" accounts for MB reports of what they saw (Nat exiting with and behind friends with Joran standing beside her; and also seen coming out of CnCs a second time to look around, go back in and then led out by Deepak).

Pondering the actions of Paul on Monday, May 30, 2005.  If we are to believe Paul ( I don't) he was at the bank, as soon as it opened, trying to deposit money into Joran's bank account, but was turned away by the crowd of people.  I think that is his excuse for leaving work and being in the vicinity of his home but there might be another explanation.
When one goes to a ATM machine and makes a deposit, the bank credits your account with what you say you are depositing.  Then you may withdraw money.  I am sure that I am not the first person who has wondered if you can say you are depositing a cheque for $1000 and put nothing in the envelope, then withdraw up to the daily limit ($400 at my bank)  If Joran was in a situation, early Monday morning,  where he needed cash immediately but did not have the funds and knew that Papa would make everything right as soon as the bank opened, would he have done that and caused his father to make the dash to the bank imperative?  Did Paul need to speak to Ruth Dijkhoff to explain the error?
It seems that Joran did not have any winnings from the casino on Sunday, so why was Papa saying that he was making a deposit of money won gambling into Joran's account?

Klaas, your too modest!

Just returning from 2 weeks of my daughter and grandson visiting from NY.  It's impossible to get on a computer with a 3 yr old around!  So trying to catch up, but see I haven't missed much on the case  Crying or Very sad   Hoping something positive had turned up.   Anything new at all??? that I may have missed?

Nothing concrete. Statements are in a thread of their own.

As for a possible connection that I made~

Deepak initially parked in the taxi queue.
Nat was 1st culled from the MBs by Joran.
Nat got away from them and returned to CnCs, looking for her friends (drugged and very confused).
Deepak circled the block, looking for her, parked in the rear of the bar, and went in to retrieve Natalee.

Oh, San, I bet you are right on the money.

I doubt the other legitimate taxi drivers would allow Deepak to park in the queue and by most accounts he did not.
Nat's friends were all gone by the time she got away from them.
If Joran and Natalee walked out with the crowd and went around the corner of C&C's and she bolted, there would still be some other students there.  The crowd could not have all gone away in one minute. My "connection" accounts for MB reports of what they saw (Nat exiting with and behind friends with Joran standing beside her; and also seen coming out of CnCs a second time to look around, go back in and then led out by Deepak).
I can't imagine that Natalee would be allowed back into a bar that was closing and why Deepak, whom she had never met before, could or would escort her anywhere while a "witness" watched without interviening.

The only thing I can say is that Paulus' trip to the bank was because of the ATM transactions of that night.  I do not know Paulus' relationship with this woman Ruth but I would say he knows her pretty well to call her by her first name since Paulus claims he has a bad memory.  I would also assume Paulus has dealt with her on a number of occassions due to his other illegal activities.

What bothers me about this is that the police should have investigated his banking activities and we have not heard a word since.  In fact in one of Deepaks statements they asked Deepak if he had a bank account and his response was basically that is non of your business.

Well, however it happened, IMO bottom line: Natalee was deceived and thought she was getting a ride back to the Holiday Inn with Joran in his taxi ..(so the subject of the fare never entered her mind)....If it was Deepak or Satish who retreived her from C & C's and then steered and walked her to the "taxi", she was most likely told that the big tall fellow sent for her ? This would be logical, as after all, Joran had been portraying himself to be just another Holiday Inn student tourist to Natalee and the Mountain Brook group.

This whole case is about Joran's lies.  He started his lies the moment the MB kids went to the poker table.  Imagine the nerve it takes to kidnap someone.  He didn't care that day he just wanted his way no matter what.  Natalee fought and Joran killed her.  The Kalpoes are a waste of life.
