Hello, I am home.  Flight back was unremarkable.  However, I have decided since the plane with the heart makes up the rules where to stand before getting on the plane, then you get to choose whatever seat you can squeeze into the middle, I now get to poll the people I sit with.  Are you a talker???  Do you take up more than your share of the arm space???   Floor space???  Are you going to ask me to trade seats, even though I had an A and you had a B???  Are you going to go to sleep and drool on my shoulder??  If I have the window seat and I am looking out the window, are you going to lean over and look out MY window????  What about when we get ready to de plane, do I have to wait until you gather up all your stuff????  The next time I fly I reserve the right to ask any passenger who may sit next to me all of the questions.  I know you have many choices, thank you for flying XXXXXXXXX..

Austin was good.  Of course I didnt get to party or go to College Station this time.  I was the baby sitter for my Grandchildren!!!  But they are almost the best things that ever happened to me.

Quote
I don't usually post in this topic.  I used to have the original explanation for the blog, but I can not find it.  I believe Red and Tom thought they could make a difference and not be afraid to speak up.  This is the best I could find:

The Bloggers started out in High School. Tom and Red were stuck in the middle of Connecticut, and escaped through a combination of luck and skill.

Through the years, and yes there were many years, they remained friends, talking about sports and women, and then sport and news and wives as they aged.

With the advent of the internet, they started wasting lots of time finding interesting information and sending it to each other. First it was the news sites, and then soon they found the blogs.

On a cold and rainy day at the end of February, 2005 they started a blog. This blog, Scared Monkeys, soon became a better time waster, and also to the surprise of Tom and Red, a popular site on the internet.

CNN, MSNBC, Slate, and many other publications quoted and featured them on shows, and appearances on regional radio and television followed.

Now they have expanded their offerings into new blogging enterprises covering many of topics they follow. It shall be an interesting trip as they progress.

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Thanks Buckeye!  Interesting.  Still curious who came up with the name for the site, and how.

I like to visit Austin too.  I went to Jerry Jeff Walker Birthday Party Bash at the Paramount Theatre last night.  It was nice, but it was a very small venue.
