sorry, i just did. why are our ips public?

It doesn't state who is who.  Only and Administrator on SM has access to IP's.  I cannot see anyones IP as a mod.

i understand that but im curious as to why ips are shown at all?

Peanut - many forums and blogs have site meters.  Some forums show your IP to the world.  The site meter only shows partial IP's and it doesn't say who the IP belongs to.

This is what we are talking about.  The site meter only.
