As I posted before, it seemed that LE had focused on a male suspect and was ready to make an arrest until MH started speaking about the suitcase.  I wonder if Sinclair had been on the top of their list?

Wasn't it Sinclair's three vehicles that LE towed off?  And not sure which POI it was, but window blinds were removed from someone's home.

Then there's the rumor that the blinds were missing the cord.

Quote momoftwins:
Wasn't the blinds removed from the Church?

--------------

Am not sure!  Seem to remember that it was around the time LE took those cars that they also took the blinds.  That was before Sandra's body was found and they began to focus on the "church".

I seem to recall way back, even before Sandra's body was found they took blinds from somewhere but you know what? This has had so many twists and turns I could be confused.

Huckaby maintains innocence says grandmother (9:58 a.m.)

By The Record
April 14, 2009 12:59 PM
STOCKTON – Connie Lawless said in phone interview this morning that her granddaughter, Melissa Huckaby, maintains her innocence to charges that she kidnapped, murdered and raped 8-year-old Sandra Cantu.

Lawless said she and her husband, Pastor Clifford Lane Lawless, visited for the first time with Huckaby, 28, at the San Joaquin County Jail for 40 minutes Monday evening. That’s when Huckaby told her grandparents she was not guilty.

“We cried together, we prayed,” Connie Lawless said. She and her family were rushing out of the house to attend Huckaby’s initial court hearing in the case.

She’s expected to be charged with kidnapping, murder and the special circumstance of rape with a foreign object, lewd and lascivious conduct with a child – charges that make her eligible for a death sentence.

Connie Lawless asked everybody to maintain an open mind. Her granddaughter has yet to speak with an attorney and the only side of the story to come out so far has come from the Tracy Police Department, which is one-sided, she said.

Huckaby was arrested Friday.

YIKES! Visions of Spindy dance through my head.... I SOOOO wanted this family to be normal

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!! I see shades of Cindy and George here. Oh Boy!

I believe some Bamboo Blinds were taken from the Home of Melissa Hickaby.

Meant to say Huckaby but Hickaby sounds pretty good as well.

It's just so weird that other court records have Johnny paying child support, and being allowed supervised visitation due to allegations of stuff, and these records say "without child".

Not only that, but I found this odd, since I don't know much on this topic, maybe it isn't that strange.    Her ex-husband received supervised visits once a month for a half-hour, according to court papers.    Does this not seem odd?

Sorry, meant to add, Connie Lawless is dumb like a fox, as my poppa used to say.
Her own Father, while maintaining support and shock, is more contrite than she. WHY?

Hhmmmm, Blink, do you think it is possible that she is covering for a male accomplice?

You never know, she may be covering for herself. She may have known or helped is disposal and is afraid to be charged with something. Not saying she did, just saying I guess its always a possibility. She had to know SOMETHING. some weird going ons after the fact that lead me to believe MH isn't the one and only involved.

I have not seen the Docs so I don't know the dates involved here but is it possible by dates that he was pregnant when they divorced and the child was after the fact??

maybe paternity was being challenged? I think in California if a child is born inside of a marriage then that child is considered a child of the couple unless paternity is challenged.

That's all I could find for Orange Co.  I guess they only show some of the cases and you have to pay for anything else.  Not like Stanislaus Co, they have all types of cases on their website. There are quite a few Lawless on the OC website but I only recognize one name Brian but what's weird is when I click on it, it brings me to Johnny Huckaby's traffic case.  Maybe I need to clear my cookies.

Yes it does, NoRose.  On the last page I think, I posted snippets from the article that explains why he got 'supervised' visits.
