Tracy press had him as Christian Sinclair but I think Klaas is right I think it is Christopher.

*snipped* "Christian Sinclair, 49 — who’s depicted in court records as abusive and alcoholic — was arrested last week for obstructing the investigation. Police searched his home, too." - Tracy Press

So do we know for sure if it is Christopher or Christian? Does he go by both or just bad reporting with the wrong name in print?

Yeah, not sure if it's Christopher or Cristian but Blink has some info on him.

Sgt. Tony Sheneman told reporters that authorities are headed in the right direction in the case of Sandra Cantu, but wouldn't give details.

"The focus is not as broad as when the investigation began," Sheneman said.

Tracy police are examining the contents of an envelope found Thursday morning at the memorial for eight-year old Sandra Cantu. Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman says the outside of the envelope read "From Sandra to my killer."  Investigators aren't yet sure if the note is connected to the girl's disappearance and murder.  Sgt. Sheneman says authorities are continuing to follow leads developed over the last several days.  He says investigators "have not focused on any one individual."

" My wife and I live in Canada. And we are so upset about this. We were so praying that she was going to be found alive. I don't want to think about all the possible things that could have happened to her. Just please, I hope she did not suffer. But now I am angry. And I mean really angry. I have started a petition to toughen the laws for sex offenders here http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/change-sex-offender-laws No more children should die. No More! Our elected officials need to protect our children, AND theirs. These violent offenders need to be kept away from Society forever. They can not be cured. And it is more inhumane and unfair to release them to kill again. WHO suffers? The innocent children of our world! Enough is Enough!"
I found this under one of the comment sections on a newspaper article. I signed it!

I just signed the petition!  Thank you for getting this started.  We NEED tougher laws on these folks!

I just found this very interesting about Chris Sinclair
"Sinclair has had other run-ins with the law, court records show, including a charge of being intoxicated in public and restraining orders from his parents and a woman who lived near him.

Criminal records show that in February 2003, Rebecca Crowther, who lived in Orchard Estates, served Sinclair with a restraining order. In a form, Crowther wrote that on Jan. 6, 2003, Sinclair grabbed the back of her neck and slammed it against a car’s windshield. She said that he pounded her head into the steering wheel until she lost consciousness.

Crowther wrote that then “he is always abusive verbally and emotionally.” Later that month, Sinclair threatened her with a gun and called her derogatory names, she charged.

Christian Sinclair was also served a restraining order by his parents, Sammie and Conrad Sinclair, who also lived at Orchard Estates. According to a form that Sammie Sinclair filled out, on Feb. 17, 2004, Christian Sinclair forced himself into her mobile home.

Sammie Sinclair wrote that she was worried that she would be evicted because of her son’s behavior, that he was an alcoholic and drug user, that he had broken many rules at the park, and that he shouted obscenities at her.

Records show that he has also gone by the names of Christian P. Sinclair and *Brandon C. Sinclair."

(Brandon is his brother who committed Suicide in 2004)

Wow, OK so Williams is lying which I think we had all suspected. It is nice to now have solid conformation that the guy is a bonafide creep and maybe more. Obviously he is trying to cover something up.
Now the other Williams (Johnny), where was this boat he allegedly saw Fred Williams and Sandra aboard on the 2nd?

TY Blink. I am liking this guy if you get my drift.
He lied.
How convenient to have a Garage Sale.
He has keys.
He would have been around with no one taking much notice, eh ?

My fear is this case is dying out. The press conferences are not getting as much attention or coverage. kcra didn't have a live feed even. There were half the amount of mic's there today. There is nothing more to talk about, we have nothing new, no arrest has been named not even a suspect named or a POI. Mean while these people are free to come and go. Is anyone following them? We are all waiting 4 weeks to see what the coroners report says?
I wish I shared every one's optimism this person will be caught. Odds are in the criminals favor, I fear. How many of these cases are actually solved?

I am beginning to doubt there is that much evidence in this case at all. Why would they allow the person they feel did this to run around the city? The pastor and Williams had a service last night at an undesclosed location. Frank Wohler is conducting classes, Slayter and Sinclair have been reported coming and going. If these are the people who didn't do this and they feel they know but can't arrest, at least let us know who to protect our children from!

Any body on this board who lived in the same city where a crime like this occured? How did you cope with it? How long until you felt you could let your child get the newspaper from the driveway without holding thier hand.

ONLY ON FOX40: Man Says He Knows Who Killed Sandra Cantu

FOX40 News

April 9, 2009

TRACY - Johnny Williams is sure he know who killed Sandra Cantu.

Williams drove from Oakland Sunday afternoon to hand-deliver his lead to Tracy police during an afternoon press conference.  Afterward, he told media that he believes he saw Sandra with a man on a boat the week prior.

Now, speaking exclusively to FOX40 News, Williams says he spotted the same man talking with media the day after Sandra Cantu's body was found.

FOX40 News won't show the man Williams accuses of murdering Sandra Cantu; however, Williams describes the man as being "heavyset with a thick moustache."

Authorities told FOX40 Thursday afternoon that they've investigated Williams' lead with no results.

Sandra Cantu's body was recovered from a sealed piece of black luggage found floating in an irrigation canal by farm workers on Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday, the pastor of a Baptist church near Sandra Cantu's home had been questioned by police in connection with Sandra's murder.  Pastor Lane Lawless denies having any connection to Sandra's murder.

Prior to her body's recovery, Sandra Cantu's father agreed to and passed a polygraph test given by authorities.

Authorities continue to insist that, while nobody has been ruled out as a person of interest, that they do not have one specific suspect or a group of suspects in mind that they are focusing on.

So, I know I'm not really following this case very closely ... so ya'll can scream at me ... but, FOX reporter said earlier that this looked like a "hit" ... intimating that it may be aimed at someone in the family ... and not a sexual predator type murder ... and the only reason I could see as to why they were reporting that way is that she was found clothed.  Just wondered why they stated that ... and if there is anything out there ... that supported their story? ...
