Being a Florida citizen all my life I just want to say for the record...

I HAVE NO PROBLEM SENTENCING THIS YOUNG POS OR ANY OTHER YOUNG WOMAN TO THE DEATH PENALTY. IF THEY DID THE CRIME THEY PAY THE FINE - PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Does anyone think that there will be a deal made now, or do you think the defense is really going to be completely lame and go forward with this? I think a deal will be made. But if not this will be one wild trial, and I don't see this happening until a much later date.

I don't see it....BJ will continue to think, and tell, his murdering client that he can get her off.  Besides if she takes a deal he loses money....................LOTS of money!!

shoot, if BJ dont watch it he may be Casey's *neighbor* pretty soon!

I'm not sure about the decomp, but I think the soil samples from the shoes match the soil where the body was found would be a factor.

The shoes/boots were in the same car where the decomp was found. So the defense could claim it came from the car.

BUT, if the soil from the woods matches the dirt on the boots. BINGO!! She is going down.

JSM, my dear friend I will say this ONE more time with much love....your opinions are not stupid nor are you - far from it & I'm not scolding but saying it because I adore you.   That being said.  I didnt read anything about decomp being found on the shoes just the same soil as where Caylee's remains were found.   Also, if we remember there was soil (I dont know how much) was found in the trunk of her car-that may match too).   It could be possible that soil and even decomp are on her boots/shoes - I would wait to see it in discovery than relying on NE or the Globe for reports but that's just my humble opinion because I am always leery of when these tabloids are printing developments as facts.   Sometimes the NE has been right on the money, other times they have been no different than other tabloid publications.   This time they might just have a scoop considering today's news...I'm waiting with baited breath for evidence in the way of discovery to confirm it before I do back flips.

I adore you too. I just wanted to know if the defense could say there was decomp in the car, therefore it was transferred to the shoes from the car because they were in the car in the impound.. I'm not sure about the decomp on the boots, but I believe the same soil samples from the boots and the woods would make more sense. Thanks for answering me.

OMG dont get me started lolol!      She is so outraged over Lana's murder & happy about the Phil Spector outcome but yet she is punching holes around this case when an innocent babygirl was murdered senselessly & the evidence is overwhelming?   Go figure!   I adore John Morgan!

Yes

A death penalty case is heard in two phases, trial and DP penalty.  If she is convicted of murder one, phase two begins where the DP will be deliberated.   Its DP or life without parole.

LWOP is really not a punishment for this creature...look how well she has adapted to jail life.....unless she were put in GP then she would be a bitch in EVERY sense of the word. Hells Bells....Susan Smith even found a guard to have sex with her in prison. 

I agree Sunny.  I love to see her get the DP because she will sit there for at least 10 years if not longer...thinking she is going to die.

I believe that the soil and decomp was on NG...NG saying that they received information from sources, but that they did not yet have the actual documents.

Sorry Puzzler, I don't have cable so didn't know about NG saying the decomp on the shoes.  I just thought that the defense could disprove decomp because the shoes were in the car along with the decomp.
