Thank you, Janet.  I'll take old Lenny with quite a few grains of salt.

Nice to see you.
Yes, thanks Janet, what I'm thinking maybe when Lenny gets deposed he will say things that will make sense, I think his deposition will be highly informative.

Contrary to what has been portrayed, the woods down here are NOT swamps. Some may be low lying and prone to some water collection, but they all have alot of leafy undergrowth and dry areas to walk in. I suspect the water was never more than 6" deep.

Did TES search the site where the remains were later found? And if water was not so deep why weren't the remains found earlier?

Were they buried initially and brought up by water?

IIRC correctly, the docs said GA, CA and LA's prints were not on the duct tape. They NEVER mentioned if Crazy's were there or not..

I'm really leaning towards Casey buried her, for me this makes more sense and why Caylee's remains weren't found sooner, very curious about this.

For prosecutors to come out and say that Casey deserves death, they must have everything that is needed to proceed with a death penalty case. Slam dunk case, I personally don't believe any case is a slam dunk, but they sure seem confident with the evidence they have.

Question: how would the hurricane and flooding off Suburban Drive affect the plant evidence? Say, the remains are there in mid- to late Juneand then two months later -- or whenever it was -- they are dislodged by water. Wouldn't the "old" plant evidence be disturbed and new plants begin to grow??? Just wondering.

I don't think there was a dislodging due to water flow at all, the discovery we received thus far seems to indicate that the plant life was significant thru the remains & after all those months certain things were not separated from the body...I don't think we have any way of getting a good indication of that yet but that is my preliminary thoughts on it.

Right. What I remember is seeing those names excluded in the docs, but not Casey's and then a news article said "no prints on the duct tape."

Other tidbits in the documents include that Caylee's body was found with a piece of duct tape covering her mouth -- tape that appeared to have been put on the child's mouth intentionally, according to the police report. Forensic analysis of the tape turned up "residue in the perfect shape of a heart," apparently from a sticker that had been placed over the duct tape, the report said. The sticker was found near where the remains were recovered.

However, no fingerprints were found on the duct tape, according to the documents.

ok, I couldn't recall for sure ... it does bother me -- Kronk and Williams out there and Deputy Dog called to the scene and she was not found until December. But what can you do? It is what it is.

Yeah, George, the remains of the little body your daughter dumped there.

Now bite me, George.

me neither...especially after the OJ debacle!!  But I don't think this is some kind of ploy to get casey to plea out...I think new forensics tests and possibly witness testimony is what brought the DP back.

hmmmm, maybe a fingerprint on the heart shaped sticker....yes it was found thru age & water damage to be separated from the duct tape but maybe a faint fingerprint survived on it - just a thought!

Baez Tells Casey State's Seeking Death Penalty
Anthony Attorney To Depose 2 Law Enforcement Officers

POSTED: 11:47 am EDT April 14, 2009
UPDATED: 12:58 pm EDT April 14, 2009
Baez Tells Casey State's Seeking Death Penalty]
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Jail records Tuesday show that defense lawyer Jose Baez has notified Casey Anthony of the state's decision to seek the death penalty.

Baez spent more than an hour Monday night with his client at the Orange County Jail where Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthonys' East Orange County home last December.

Meanwhile, in the wake of Monday's stunning about-face by the state attorney's office to seek the death penalty against Casey Anthony, Baez is scheduling more depositions.

On Tuesday, Baez filed a notice to depose two law enforcement officers. One is a Corrections Lt. Tammy Unser, who said she witnessed Casey Anthony hyperventilate upon seeing TV coverage of a child's remains discovered along Suburban Drive, which was later revealed to be her daughter.
