Not a whole lot of info.  Talked about at end of conference police talked about McClintic and Tara McDonald may have had a relationship.  Police would not comment if 18 year old knew Tori.  Officers and crews in Guelph area currently searching for Tori's body.  Police confirmed nothing has been found regardless of rumours.

Q  Can you speak if there is a sexual component to this case?

A.  The matter is before the court, I can not speak to that.

Q.  Why was the Amber alert not issued?

A.  Because the criteria of Tori's disappearance to not satisfy the criteria of the Amber Alert.

IMO, this whole system needs to be revamped!

18 year old was from Woodstock, had moved away and then came back recently.

28 year old lives at home.  Mom and Dad are not speaking.  Neighbours did not know him at all.

Community are in shock and distress.  Outpouring of condolences at Tara McDonald's home.

Talking about rumours that surfaced about Tara. None of it were substantiated. 

Question now is was there a sexual motive, and police would not comment about it during news conference.

McClintic may have been with the police in the Guelph area and she is co-operating.  Both have been charged with the highest charges possible in the Canadian legal system.  25 years on charges. May have to serve 1/3 of sentence and out on good behaviour.

No Tracygirl.  I don't think there is any hope of that. 
When asked how they determined murder charges they said based on evidence.
It would be outrageous and irresponsible for the Crown to charge based on possibility of a lie. They have evidence, sadly.
Only hope left now I guess, is to find Tori swiftly.

I am without words....   I am so sorry and so sad  for Tori, her family, her friends... 

Hugs to you Tracy.  Your caring is needed in this world, though I know it takes a toll.

and to think the family, in their grief, still has to wait to have Tori returned is unimaginable.

Next court date May 28th.  They will be there via video from jail not in person in the court.  Bail hearing takes place in Superior court, not lower court.  That will take at least a month from now.  Someone on first degree murder rarely make bail.

Maybe the police could re educate themselves too. Waited way too long to go from a missing person to an abduction. I think it was because Tori was with a woman, not a man; she wasn't fighting and went willingly. Who knows what Tori was told by this excuse for a human. It wasn't stellar police work that solved this one. The public was engaged in solving this. Close to home, and she walked with this woman right out in open and in the daylight hours in small town Canada. This is frightening. People are going to demand the police look at their investigation and the way this one was handled.

The Police Chiefs explanation was a poor one, claiming he got it out to the press immediately.
Although the Police Chief says it would not have made a difference - we will never know - and that too is tragic.  mo

News interviewing McClintic's grandmother.
She is very sorry  for this.  She has not seen McClintic for several years.  Terry-Lynn had a very tough life and she blames her upbringing.  She claims that Terry-Lynn beat up her mom and son and she lied to get what she wanted.  When asked if Terry-Lynn was a drug addict grandma said could be.
Grandma never thought that McClintic could be involved in something like this.  Grandma's voice was shaky and you could tell she was crying.
