Q. What are your thoughts of your little girl on this horrible day?

Ronald - What are my thoughts on my little girl?  I still love her with all my heart and until I see her I will not lay this to rest.

Q. You are wearing her proudly on your chest today.

Ronald - I have been wearing her proudly on my chest and in my heart since the day she was born.

Q. We got word from a  neighbour that Terry-Lynn was handing out flyers for your daughter's cause just days after the abduction.

Ronald - Oh how nice of her.  Thank -you Terry...BITCH!!!!

Q. I know this is not the end for you, but what has this been like for you?

Ronald - honestly I can not answer that its too overwhelming

Q.  How are you going to get through the next few hours, the next few days, month, weeks?

Ronald - By spending a lot of time with my son and letting him know that everyone is still there for him and we love him.

Q. Where is he?

Ronald - As far as I know he is out paintballing.

Q. Does he know?

Ronald - He does know.  His mom and I told him this morning.

Q. How did he take it?

Ronald - His first reaction was "so does this mean I do not get hang out with my sister anymore...do not get to see her anymore"?  And then it was , I told him that these people will be punished to the full extent of the law.  HE said thats not enough.  He wants to see them in the electric chair.

Q. Are you going to be going to the court dates.

Ronald - Oh yes I will be there. Yes, yes.

Reporter - Ronald we are so sorry.  we are really do sorry. 
Reporter - WE are proud of you too , it takes a lot of guts to step out here and talk to us.  IT can't be easy.

Ronald -No , I am not turning away.  No.  This is my daughter.  This is my baby.  I am not turning my head.  No. No. No.

More on search

OPP and search crews zoned in on a rock pile.  It was investigate and nothing was found.  Based on th apttern of the chopper they are looking for a landmark.  Police have found nothing so far.  They are continuing to follow leads.  Over 100 officers are now involved.  There are several locations that OPP wanted to check.  They will follow each lead.  The Chopper is now down to refuel.

Police will not comment on motives but sources tell CP24 that Tori was abducted for sexual purposes.  She was targeted on the street as she left her school in what was described as a crime of opportunity.  It was only after the fact that it was learned that Tori was the daughter of Terra McDonald.  Police confirming that one of the accused, the female suspect was known to Terra McDonald

One of the things that people in the chat room on the LPLive stream keep asking is for the birthdates of the suspects.  Anyone know why they would keep asking for that?  We know they are 18 and 28 isn't that enough?  Thoughts?

The only thing I can think of is the l8 year old is adopted...and maybe someone is trying to place her or discount her who knows of a baby given for adoption 18 years ago...or maybe that's too far fetched.

Interview of Tori's Maternal grandmother.

Linda Winters says family all wants to know why they did it.  People like that , its sad, they are ill.  I do not know the pain that my daughter is going through, everyone is different and deals with things differently. How would you feel? We are family , we will always be family and will always be there for each other.

I am surprised she wasn't asked if Tara has cried

I got the sense from Linda that she was not real close to her daughter.  It was weird how she was almost like a person from the street talking rather than a grandma.  Please don't read too much into it, she may just be in total shock.

I think there are family dynamics here that we probably don't understand. There were many questions why Linda backed away from Tara during this ordeal. Tara's explanation was pretty much what you said. They aren't close.
I think everyone is in shock. This was honestly the last outcome I expected.

My comment was not aimed at the grandmother, it was aimed at the gossip mill that had said Tara was not crying during press conferences.

Tara had spoke about her and her moms relationship during press conference,she said they have their difficulties in relating to one another...She attributed to them probably being more alike then not.  Her mom probably just came out for a bit. I had heard she was with her daughter.

The amber alert is a great idea, but it is flawed. The "powers that be" know this so why do they not change the rules????

The featureless composite sketch released by police shortly after Tori’s disappearance is now believed to be Terri-Lynne McClintic, an 18-year-old woman who was charged late Tuesday along with her boyfriend, Michael Thomas Rafferty, 28.

According to her paternal grandmother, who had been cut from her life more than a decade ago, Ms. McClintic was a happy child until her parents, Carol and Rob McClintic, separated in 2003 when she was three-years-old.

“When she was young, up to three, she was like every little girly girly. Just lovable, and we didn’t seem to think anything was wrong then, until Rob and Carol parted,” said Nancy McClintic, her paternal grandmother.

Nancy McClintic told the National Post from her Woodstock home yesterday that Ms. McClintic had been adopted shortly after birth and raised by the couple, until a bitter separation left “bad blood” between Terri-Lynne’s mother and the McClintic family.

Carol was given custody of the three-year-old girl and the McClintic family lost track of her. Her father now lives in Smith Falls, Ont., and works as a long-haul truck driver. Her grandmother remained in Woodstock, but was kept from Terri-Lynne by the acidic relationship she had with her mother, who worked as a stripper and frequently “did favours for me,” Nancy said.

“I saw her until she was about three, and then I saw her once after that. Her mother took her away,” she said. “I don’t know her. We wanted to help in any way we could, but Carol just chopped that right off. I believe all this is because of her mother - the upbringing she had.”


Ms. McClintic’s co-accused also lives with his mother in Woodstock, although an acquaintance contacted through Facebook said he lived in Guelph as recently as three years ago.

The woman, who requested her name not be published, said she has not spoken to Mr. Rafferty for years, but noted that the last time he updated his Facebook information was on April 8, the day Tori Stafford went missing.

Mr. Rafferty attended Alexander MacKenzie High School in Richmond Hill, and later went to Toronto’s George Brown College to study culinary arts.

The London Free Press reports that Terry-Lynne McClintic is the daughter of a stripper—and was later adopted by another stripper. The information comes from McClintic’s estranged adopted father, Rob, who explains the twisted story this way: “I was living in Woodstock at the time and Carol [his wife] was a stripper. A stripper friend of hers was going to have a baby but wanted to get rid of it. Carol said she wanted the baby. So, they put my name down as the birth father and we took the baby. But I wasn’t even there for the conception or the birth.” Rob McClintic says he hasn’t seen Carol or Terry-Lynne in at least 12 years. “This is just blowing me away,” he said. “It just appalls me to hear of anyone doing anything like that to a child. My heart goes out to that little girl’s parents.”

Folks we have our work cut out for us. We need to somehow change this, it needs to end. So many children not coming home to their mom's and Dads. it is not right! The amber laws need to change, we need stick laws for child  porn traffickers and pedophiles. We need to find every each one of these horrible monsters and protect our children. We cannot wait anymore, another child is gone....another child not able to grow up, another family in pain. The time is now....

News on the search:

A woman in handcuffs was taken into a OPP chopper.  That chopper has taken off from Guelph Airpark and is currently heading to Bellwood Lake.  Ground crews are moving that way and reporters are heading to Fergus. 

Police are saying they will be out tonight as long as it takes.

Thank you Tracygirl.  I agree that we need the Amber Alert guidelines changed and changed NOW.  I would rather have 50 false Amber alerts than one more dead child.  Somehow we need to get this changed.
