On April 9, the latest distribution was announced and done so by Vice President Joe Biden. As Americans focus on National Health Week, government officials were putting their own focus on health. A total of $2.3 billion will be made available by the Obama Administration from the aforementioned stimulus package to fund child care for children of working families and help in the delivery of vaccines to those otherwise unable to afford them.

The grandest portion of the money discussed by Biden is a $2 billion figure to be allocated by the Child Care and Development Fund, a federal program devoted to providing low-income parents with job training and education while offering child care, as well as putting forth efforts to improve the quality of child care and helping children involved under protective services. This money will specifically be distributed to states to help make child care services more accessible and affordable while parents are working or seeking employment, and among those groups eligible to receive the funds are child care centers and home-based care programs.

Biden noted, “Parents are worried about finding a job or keeping the job they have and they shouldn’t have to worry about affording quality child care. Safe, affordable, high-quality child care gives working parents the peace of mind they need to be stable, dependable employees.”

According to Biden, the other $300 million in the latest allocation of stimulus money will be given directly to the Section 317 program that operates under the HHS-maintained Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to fund immunization operations and assist in broadening programs for disease prevention at federal, state, and local levels.

Somebody around here was wondering what specific programs and uses the stimulus money was funding and here's one kind of answer.

Any working parent, especially a single working parent, can tell you how important child care is.

Childcare is a nice thing to have, but who pays the price?

How much of that money for working people when to people who were in the US illegally?

Is there any nation on earth where illegal people get free healthcare, daycare, schooling for their children, home loans, credit cards, and any number of other benefits usually reserved for people in a nation legally?

Even those that come as legal immigrants don't get so many benefits.

If taxes were lower, the Obama tax balloon wasn't on the horizon, maybe Americans could afford to work less and spend more time with their families.

my opinions.
