How does Oprah Winfrey handle a serious topic?

For all those wondering about how she'll treat George and Cindy Anthony next month, you might look at her show Monday.

Winfrey will discuss the Columbine massacre. Her guests will include the lead investigator and an FBI profiler, who offers new insights.

Here's how the Oprah folks are promoting the show: "Ten years after the Columbine massacre ... shocking revelations and clues the killers left behind. What we can all learn now."

"The Oprah Winfrey Show" airs at 4 p.m. weekdays on WFTV-Channel 9.

Okra may get some new info from the Coumbine massacre, but she won't get anything new from the Ants. It'll be all "We support Casey, Casey is innocent, and fork over your money to our new foundation"( so we can continue our lies and support ourselves) . Same old, same old.

I know this is old posting, but I went back and went over what Oz Interest posted. I think this reveals forces are at work on the Casey Anthony case. It goes much deeper than we know. I believe this is why SA is so confident in bringing back the death penalty.

You also have to remember that over here the Anthony case is pretty well completely unknown and there is NO media following the case so she would have no one to talk to about anything case related other than us and I personally found her quite reticent in revealing much of anything so I don't think she has betrayed her husbands trust in anyway either imho.

This is not the first time he has had input into a case in the US, being in the group his talents are sought after world wide.
Some of the things he has seen and dealt with are sickening.
I can't really tell you why he is involved but sufficed to say that he hasn't told me everything he knows either.

I don't know any more than you do about Caylee's paternity, that is not something that would be relevant to what my hubby does.

At times I do feel very uncomfortable having "inside information" and reading how frustrated everyone is with what's happening with this case.

Dont forget Jesse and many were hoping against hope that Casey did not kill Caylee & that she was indeed "missing" in some fashion with or without Casey's involvement.

Thanks Capp. I keep forgetting that people really believed Caylee was missing in the beginning. Being the cynic that I am, I thought from the beginning KC killed Caylee from day one her walking all smug in the courtroom in her blue hoodie.

I had looked through Slore's Photobuckets that Seeme has posted. I didn't see that pic there, and I don't recollect seeing it any other place but on this Fox article. I wonder where they got it?

I have always wondered where this photo of Casey came from.  It appeared in the media almost immediately following her arrest, and b/c of the blue hoodie, many ppl thought it had been snapped by LE while she was being questioned or in custody, which is not the case, as you can clearly see if you compare it to her mug shot photo.  Looks like an airport or bus station lobby/searing area.  Does any Monkey know where/when this picture was taken?

Hi Desi, I just had a minute to look at the snap of KC. I'm not sure about background of the picture, but it doesn't look like plane seats to me. To me it looks like row seating in a club or  a bar.

I'm sorry JSM doesn't get out much, but I growing up I had the fortune to be able to fly on big planes and little planes. To my old eyes, those aren't the seats of an airplane. I am probably wrong as usual. I just wanted to let you know what my bad eyes saw in the picture.

I think they are a bunch of talking heads and that Casey's goin' down, but that just me......

I think it's all smoke and mirrors, when they took the DP off the table these same people said, "it's because the LE case is weak they HAD to take it off the table." They put it back on the table and their "SPIN" doesn't change, no surprise there....

What is your opinion of the news columnists and legal experts that say reinstating the DP shows weakness in the prosecution?  I get so ticked when I read these articles that say this is just a very WEAK move by the prosecution and that it will backfire.

I think these "op ed" (opinions) pieces of this nature are designed to inflame an overwhelming majority opinion (all the polls are ranging 80%-90% in favor of seeking the DP), some people enjoy being in the minority and arguing a point for these reasons to name a few 1) they are seeking attention 2) they are attempting to persuade the masses 3) they are lowlives themselves that spend their entire existence finding excuses for theirs & others unacceptable behavior & actions 4) they are against the DP in general so to them this case isnt about Caylee getting murdered or Casey's guilt, its about fighting the government.

Comments such as there are no signs of premeditation...hello they obviously havent read every page of discovery released thus far or they are choosing to gloss over it regardless of how ridiculous they sound in doing so.   Simply put, people that cannot dispute the physical and/or circumstantial evidence intelluctally have to resort to conspiracy theories, allegations of police misconduct when none is evident (well minus a lazy idiot Richard Cain) or prosecutorial misconduct.

The bottom line is the Grand Jury indicted on murder one with special circumstances qualifying the death penalty be sought & that was before a body was found - so those that argue "the State" have to remember that citizens just like you and me chose to indict on what was presented to them.   The State reasonably & with great consideration took the DP off the table mainly because they did not have a body, on December 11th finding Caylee's remains provided evidence (some of which Im positive we have not seen yet) to reconsider...I contend adamantly it is that basic.   The State realizes just how public this case is & just how highly invested emotionally many are about what happened to Caylee & who did it so at this juncture I cannot see merit in this ongoing debate because they realize that if they get to trial & cannot prove their case that they will be under great scrutiny and public outrage if it were to bear out to be true that they used the DP as a bargaining chip only & of course the cost it incurred if they were bluffing....IMHO no way would they risk that.

OK Im gonna take a few hours to put the tootsies up & watch some TV, Ill check in on the late side...MUAH!

Thanks Trimm, I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought the same thing. At first not knowing the story, I kinda felt sorry for her, but watching her skank arse walk into that courtroom, I knew she did it. I haven't changed my mind about her since. Now Georgie, I changed my mind about quite a few times, but after his depo. HE KNEW TOO. They ALL knew. IIRC, Annie did not state to LE that the cap had ever belonged to Jesse, or that she had been told that by Casey.

I believe Annie stated that, contrary to what the bloggers were saying, that cap had never belonged to her (Annie).  It belonged to Casey, and Annie happened to be wearing it in a photo that was spread all over the Internet.

IIRC, Annie's statement was that Casey told her that Jesse had given her the hat.  Not that it had been his hat; but that he was the one who bought it for her, presumably because she liked shamrocks.

ICBW, couldn't find a quick link to Annie's transcript.  Anyone have a link handy?

I have been reading back on many threads last night and today. It is striking to me how many people already had a good read on Casey's actions and demeanor from almost the beginning. I have also been struck how not much has change in her behavior since the first. Every interview, every news video, every piece of information we have gotten has just nailed the lid down that she is just an evil b*tch. There has never been a time when she acted in a way that made her a sypathetic person, either before Caylee's death, or after.

I can pretty much say the same thing about the Ants, as far as myself personally. I just have not been able to screw up in a drop of sympathy for any of them. The closest came when George had to testify at the GJ. I had a glimmer of hope that he would come through for Caylee. I had some worry about him the night after, mostly I thought Spindy would probably kill him. A day or two later he was right back at the "Casey is innocent" bs.JMO

Makes you mad doesn't it?I know JSM had a terrible time feeling bad about George.He is  as devious as the rest of them.He just used the ultimate sympathy card. Disgusting.

Casey's wearing the same hoodie in this pic. She probably took it one of the times she was picking people up at the airport; either Tony or her friends that went to Puerto Rico. She was always taking pictures of herself or having her picture taken, BAH!!

Hi, Monken!  The blue hoodie in which Casey's mug shot was taken (the one she wore on July 16 when she was arrested) was purchased at Target, using Amy's stolen check.  She didn't own that particular shirt yet at the time she took Tony to the airport, or when she drove Amy to the airport about a week after Tony's departure.  She didn't have the arrest-photo blue hoodie (Mossino brand, #82) until after Amy had left for Puerto Rico.  However, the smiling picture could certainly have been snapped at some time after she got the Mossino hoodie.

I, too, once thought it was the same shirt, but upon minute inspection of certain details, have come to believe that they are similar, but not the same.  In the smiling photo, you can see seams at the top (shoulder seams).  The seams look different (raglan seams) on the arrest mug shot IMO.  Here's a link where raglan seams are defined.  http://www.authenticforum.com/rock-republic-jeans/129283-you-know-youve-hit-bottom-when.html#post1441469

Also, the construction of the hood, especially at the edge, looks different.  JMO, of course.  The collar looks deeper on the smiling picture.  (The fabric/color look pretty different, but that could be explained by variations in photography.)  I'm almost certain it's not the same shirt, though of course ICBW.

It makes me wonder why Casey bought the blue hoodie at Target if she already had a similar shirt... to replace an earlier one she had to get rid of for some reason?   hmmm... oh, never mind.  Desi's head is already dizzy enough as it is!  (Keep getting kicked outta the cage, it's so frustrating!)

To further clarify, Annie did not say that Casey told her  Jesse "bought" the cap for her, she said that "he gave it to her."   A few pages back, try about 7-8 or so I posted a link to a youtube  with that portion of Annie's audio sworn statement with OCSO discussing it, that portion begins about 5:25.  In that piece she said nothing about it was because Casey liked shamrocks.

I did too, I kept saying poor George, and the night with the suicide attempt, I was really upset, now I think he is just as bad if not worse then Cindy, just in a different way. The poster Oz that Boo just posted some of her posts, I'm wondering if she felt she said to much, and then stopped posting, at least in the Caylee forum.

Desi, I didn't want to stack anymore, but another thing that makes me think it is the interior of a plane is when you look behind her, it looks like one of those seats that you could put the back down and make a bed across two seats. Some planes have seats like that for longer trips. Can you see that?? Like the seat she was in might recline back to the one behind her. Does that make sense?

But it could be.   

My son chimed in about it and said they looked too heavy for an airplane seat. He said it was some kind of high end seating, not in a waiting area or lobby in an airport. He stayed in a high end hotel recently and they had the same kind of seats in a lobby area with a bench in front like you see behind her. Maybe JSM is right. Might be seating area in a club. Universal??

I also wanted to add by way of clarification, we were spelling the name B-e-n-a-v-i-d-e-s last night, which is the common spelling of the surname.

But this guy apparently spells his name B-e-n-e-v-i-d-e-s. 

It was the former spelling I was using when I found the Pedro Benavidez who was in trouble with the FBI for a money laundering and drug trafficking scheme involving the purchase and use of executive-class planes, such as those used in charter jet airlines.  The reason I was searching for this info was that Fanny thought she recalled a execu-jet connection of some kind with Peter Benevides.

Fanny's comment had tripped a trigger for me:  the fact that Lee's girlfriend Mallory and her best friend Michelle had worked for two such airlines, at the Orlando Executive Airport near Blanchard Park and UCF.  And also Michelle's fiance, Edgar was not only a pilot for the company, but was also from Puerto Rico, which seems to have a vague connection in the Caylee story. 

When I posted about this last night, I also threw in some info I learned about Michelle from her myspace months ago:  that she has a sister/cousin/friend(?) who lives in Sanford and has children, and also that she has served as a babysitter either for these kids or others.  (Sanford came up in the case, because Matthew Crisp told LE that when he saw Casey without Caylee, her explanation was that Caylee was "at a playdate in Sanford.")

Disclaimer:  The guy I was researching last night (Pedro Benavides) may actually have nothing whatsoever to do with the Peter Benevides that was associated with NLHF and the Caylee case.

Just wanted to explain all this, because I felt bad for the confusion the sleuthing from last night was causing for Monkeys hopping into the cage today...  I hope this clears things up a bit!
