mlee:

Just curious how you got the information that Connie Sheffield (Haleigh's step-grandmother) is a registered nurse.

I haven't seen that published anywhere.

TIA.

Brandi, I remember seeing or reading something when this abuse allegation first came up. Connie is a nurse and either has worked in a hospital or maybe still does, and she is the one who told Kim P. and Crystal that the black eye and other facial cuts and bruises were not consistent with the playground accident that the school reported. That report only listed a small cut on the nose... nothing about a bruise on the eye or the other cuts. Connie also said that if Haleigh had fell hard enough to have caused a black eye and the cuts like that, she should have had scrapes and cuts to her hands and arms. Plus the black eye did not show up till a week later... too long to have been caused by the fall on the playground. It might take a couple of days for an eye to turn completely black and blue... but not a week. Most of them show up the next day.
TxLady2, I don't think that Connie is the be all, end all of that topic. All all people do not scar, heal, etc. the same.

House Bill 3385 Passed: New day for the AMBER Alert program

Posted: 30 Apr 2009 10:00 PM PDT

It brought tears to my eyes and still as I write it now. Today is a new day for the AMBER Alert program which has been under public scrutiny for not protecting children that go willingly with adults who are at risk for being a victim of sexual assault.

The House Bill 3385 was passed yesterday which allows Law Enforecment agency's to issue Amber Alerts for children believed to be in danger of sexual assault

Just wish it would be for ALL missing children.  Ummmm...how is one to know...if they just wandered off, if a sex offender picked them up, or maybe a parent that does not have custody took them.

Would it be toooo difficult to include ALL of the above.

Good evening, I could not believe when I read Amber was in and out of jail,  AGAIN. However, the weekend is here so we may see more activity.I wonder how these guys feel about getting busted with these girls. Don't they know they being watched? Then again we are talking about drugs and they think it won't happen to the. I'm afraid one of these girls are going to get hurt.
Maybe someone will say something about our poor lil Haleigh.

go to jail, eat a samwitch . go your merry way.
Some of them get out before they can even eat a samwitch

^5 no rose!

HOLD EVERYTHING!!!   After reading all these posts and the mug shots one after the next,  now  I finally see why RC is considered such a catch. Compared to half of Satsuma he's a model citizen. He doesn't even have a recent mug shot. He also did have the job.   Seriously, a judge in that county probably would think that a rap sheet that was only a couple pages long is good.

...answering my own question here.

Apparently from a caption or something on Art Harris' site that is no longer up. Found this post: http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=4718.msg729411#msg729411 that mentions it.

Wink

Brandi, I am behind and trying to catch up. Thank you for the info as I had missed that Connie Sheffield would be Hayleigh's step-grand-
mother nor did I know that she is a nurse. Trying to keep all these characters straight is a chore for an adult. I feel for the children.

I agree a thousand per cent Grama..  And I also wish they would tighten down on Children's Services, so they would investigate Family situations and guard them much closer..  In fact, the situation the children were both in on that Monday prior to Haleigh's disappearance, with short elevator as a care giver, that alone should have been a violation of child custody.  No child should ever be placed in the care of a person who acts, lives and behaves in the manner that short elevator does, therefore ron was not acting as a responsible parent.

I do believe this alone is negligence, and it lead to the disappearance of little Haleigh.  Therefore, the state of Florida and Putnam County Children's Services is acting negligent in allowing Little Ron to be in the custody of big ron now, because his secondary caregiver in the home is the same caregiver, a step mother as the person who resides in the home that last saw Little Haleigh.  And if anything happens to Little Ron, then I do believe Crystal would have the right to bring civil action against Child Services, the County of Putnum and the State of Florida..
And for those who pop up with questions of how can??

Simple.. the State of Florida governs Child Services, with the County supporting Child Services, and third Child Services, the department that would be responsible for their actions and leads down to the worker who failed to take appropriate action.

And if you still have doubts and wish to dispute, I am sure you can find this information by researching Civil and Criminal Laws in the State of Florida,  without doubt they will have a link,  you will just have to research it out.

OMG This guy is scary looking.
Mlee.. I so agree with you. I have said all along that Jr. needs to be out of there care. Also, why is Child Service taking s long to do so? the fact that lil Haleigh is missing and all the " I don't know why I change my stories" and "I don't know I was at work". Shouldn't that be enough. Neither one of them seem to know anything. So, how are they capable of taking care of Jr. Child Services had been to there house in the past. I don't think they dropped by to have a cup of tea. You would think they would be on top of this. How are they getting away with so much? I truly thought when Haleigh went missing jr. would have been taken away from them then. I'm sorry for ramling on and I don't post often but I'm so frustrated with this. I could go on forever with this. Not only are Ron and Misty being negligent but, I think Child Services is a well.  ::MonkeyNoNo::JUST MY OPINION.
Thank you For Allowing Me To Vent. I hope I didn't offend any of my new monkey friends.

Good Morning everyone, yes I think Ron is a catch, considering, I can't believe I'm typing this. But your right, when you look at some of the characters, going in and out of jail.....

that was wonderful news about the Amber alert...I agree, why can't it be for all children who are missing? I don't understand the logic to pick and choose which kid gets an amber alert and which kid doesn't ....so it is a child who may have went willingly or ran away...the kid is still missing as far as I am concerned and still in potential danger....jmo

morning everyone by the way!

I don't understand that either, but then again I don't understand the unfairness of a lot of things. Same with the death penalty, which I'm not against, but do see quite a bit of unfairness with. Oh well

Good morning monkeys & welcome to all the new monkeys I've missed.  I'm just catching up (tried to go through the new Caylee doc dump, ugh!)

So I see Amber was back in & out of jail in a flash.    (Not really funny, I guess, really sad).

Thank you for the updates, I'll go catch up now.
