I agree it's just so sad, trimmy.  I think back to the video we saw when Sandra  was  skipping and looking so happy  and it breaks my heart to realize it wasn't long after that terrible things happened to her and ended her life.

I have been thinking of this little girl this evening. This time last year my city was in a panic trying to figure out what to do, where she was, what happened to this precious little girl. I will never forget the feeling of it all, it was awful.
RIP sweet girl, I am so sorry this happened to you, I wish we could have saved you.
Prayers to her family, I am sure this day has been difficult on them.

Melissa Huckaby To Face Judge Today



The woman accused of killing 8-year-old Sandra Cantu will face a judge today.

Melissa Huckaby has pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, rape and murder.

Sandra's body was found in a suitcase in an irrigation pond a year ago in Tracy.

Huckaby's trial is set to begin in October.

The latest hearing in the Melissa Huckaby case is scheduled to get underway Monday morning in a Stockton courtroom.

The 29-year-old former Sunday school teacher is accused of the kidnap, rape and murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu in Tracy one year ago.

She faces the death penalty, if convicted.

Court papers show Huckaby's attorney wants a delay in Monday's scheduled evidence hearing.

The lawyer says has he yet to receive the results of a investigation into alleged misconduct by a Tracy police detective.

Sandra Cantu murder case: Defense to challenge evidence

TRACY, CA - The attorney for Melissa Huckaby, the suspect in 8-year-old Sandra Cantu's murder, is asking a judge that some evidence not be permitted in court.

Huckaby returned to San Joaquin County Superior Court Monday morning with a noticeable change in her appearance.  Instead of long brown hair, seen in her earlier appearances, she now has short, dark wavy hair.

Judge Linda Lofthus has banned cameras from the courtroom.

The judge is expected to set a date to hear a defense motion "to suppress evidence" in the case.

For whatever reason, I started thinking about " The Lawless" today. Wondering what they have been up to. Since nothing has be said by them. Not a peep.

There is on the Trulia site many pictures inside the Lawless home. Pastor Clifford and Connie's home. There is one "bed room" photo. I don't know if this is MB's bedroom or not. It looks pretty stripped down. There is no decor to speak of. My eyes see on the right side of the bed. ((its hard to tell)) but it looks like one of those portable side rails to keep a child from falling off the bed. MB's daughter was 3yrs old or so ?? could have been for her.
It looks like someone painted part of the wall with White..paint? Or something was ripped off the wall that removed the paint ??? - I copied for you to see.



How can they sell it? Would it not be used for the Trial for evidence. That there "could be"  still evidence in the house? "That would be"  be destroyed it someone else moves in? Or if they needed to go back "LE" that it would be important that the house be left as is. 
Their asking 70k for the home. Does that seem like a lot? It must be recent the listing, the agent has on her site  " call to schedule a showing" .. Both sites have different photos.

So disturbing to see inside the house ..bad karma.

I was looking at the wall...could it be a shadow from a window?

My first thoughts is who would want to live in a house that such evil people lived in...I am not so sure MH parents did not know that their daughter was molesting children..jmo

Mymonkey Your right that is the shadow from the window ( thank you ) that was bugging me ..what the heck is that. I said MB didn't I - I meant MH.

I don't know either WHO would want to buy that house either. Everyone local must know who's house it is. That it was possibly the last place Sandra was alive.   
I swear that it was said way back that the House was owned by the Church. Maybe I am wrong.  That the house was in the Church's name.  Maybe Tracygirl would remember.
