Thanks for the article Tracy

Here's something I will throw out to you Monkeys...
Do we have any names of the so called Tracy60???
I would really like to know who is on that list and if ANY of those people have ANY connection the Lawless family.

James Spencer Hagelston, 41 This is the only name associated with the child porn. He was arrested in Jan or Feb, this is when we first heard of the "Tracy 60"

Question, what is the best and least expensive site to research people? Is there one preferred over another?

Awesome.
Do you have any idea where that was reported? I did a little search and could only come up with the info from the Protect website.

In looking for the Tracy 60, I came across a list of 80 registered sex offenders in the area:

A couple of paragraphs snipped from the article at the link that follows:

Research shows that a large percentage of the Tracy 60 will have local child victims. They will be parents, teachers, coaches, neighbors, even convicted sex offenders. Anyone who thinks these criminals are simply "looking at pictures" has his head deep in the sand while a human rights tragedy unfolds all around him.

Now Tracy has the opportunity to fire a shot that will be heard around the world. If they continue on with their investigation, tracking down every child pornography trafficker they have evidence of, they will surely save other Tracy children. They will prove the connection between child pornography crimes and child sexual assault in the most dramatic way possible, just when the entire nation is watching. And that will raise the stakes for communities who refuse to take similar action.

Interesting breakdown of sex offenders state by state at the following link.

Then click on the tab at the top "find offenders" to see who is in your own areas.

Thank you so much for posting that, Wyks. (. . . and, Hello, by the way!) I feel that article truly sums up what we are all trying to make happen by being here & discussing/researching this; SOMEBODY needs to stand up and do whatever they can to put an end to this travesty that has been allowed to stay buried for too long. It's disheartening to read some of the posts over on Blink ridiculing us for being 'armchair detectives' - but I feel certain that all of us here are indeed part of something much larger - a grassroots organization for change. As the article stated - it would indeed be something to cheer for if we as a community could assist in leading the nation towards putting our foot down and demanding accountability for crimes against our children.

Carry on, noble monkeys!

Tams I look at it this way. If, god forbid, something else was to happen, which side do I want to be on, the side trying to help and maybe stop this or the side not willing to do anything but criticize? I think we all have chosen the right side.

No Rose you remember this story .. it happened right before Caylee was found. I do recall it was Dec 08 that this boy escaped. I can't fathom treating a pet the way this " young boy" was treated ... it escapes my mind that anyone could treat anyone the way they treated him.
I think if you see their faces it will jog your memory - Monsters that they are.

I don't know No Rose, it seems impossible. I know he is in protective custody so I am hoping he gets intensive therapy. This boy has been through a lot, he deserves for the rest of his life to be easy going..

Deenie, Trust me, I would love to leave but right now it is not an option. I just keep my children close by and never leave them alone. It is hard because I feel I don't have total control and that scares me.

Well said, Tams.  You caught the exact reason why I joined this site and have spent countless hours over the last couple weeks hunting, searching, reading, investigating, studying, debating, analyzing, . . . you name it.  When this story first broke, I thought to myself, "Good Lord, not another missing child case.  When is this going to end?"  But then that surveillance video was released---that damn surveillance video changed something in me.  I've been practicing law for over 15 years.  During that time I've seen some of the worst of the worst things imaginable, mostly on the civil side. I won't go into the details, but nothing ever hit me harder in my heart than that damn surveillance video.  To this day, there's a part of me that wishes I would have never seen it because it still haunts me.  And it kills me inside knowing that those were the last happy moments of that child's life.  But there's another part of me that is glad I did--it's the part that now motivates me to want to be part of the solution to something that has been seemingly ignored for far too long.  Or at least to FEEL as if what I am doing MAY somehow, someday be part of the solution.

We can be like others and stick our heads in the sand.  We can be like those who simply choose to continue debating and speculating about what happened, where it happened, how it happened, blah blah.  We can be like those who say "Wow, how unfortunate.  I hope nothing like that ever happens to me."  Or we can do something constructive and be part of a community of people that rise to the occasion and collectively scream "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH--WE DEMAND PROTECTION FOR OUR KIDS!!!!!!!" and take ACTION.  That's my choice.

So call me an armchair detective if you want.  Ridicule me all you want for spending what little free time I have hunting and researching, etc. etc.  But the fact is, doing this at least gives us an OPPORTUNITY to contribute toward a solution--an OPPORTUNITY to help save ONE CHILD from being abused--an OPPORTUNITY to help identify ONE CHILD MOLESTER and bring him/her to justice.  For me, that's enough of an incentive, as the option is to sit back, do nothing, and say "Good Lord, not another missing child case. When is this going to end?" when the next news story breaks.
