I would be afraid to cut into the beautiful cakes, but something tells me I would, and would eat way more than I should

They really do taste great!!

Hey everyone, here's the latest! The first one is my first (ordered) fondant cake, it looks great but it was soooo time-comsuming. Esp. since I'm not used to it yet & I have so little room in my kitchen! Hope you like, have a great day all!

So many great looking cakes, Monken    You've really been busy haven't you?  The fondant cake looks quite elegant.  My niece had one as a wedding cake, and used black and white with red ribbon on stacked square boxes as her cake.  It tasted as good as it looked, and that was wonderful.

Since I never heard of fondant cakes before, I looked it up. The info says it is time consuming and can be scary the first time you make one. Yours looks absolutely beautiful, as does all your cakes

Thanks everyone!!
The fondant bow is pieced together. You cut strips 3 sizes, fold over & lay each one sideways so the loop doesn't fall on itself & let dry. Once the fondant is dry, it's surprisingly tough. You still have to be careful but it dries stiff so you can handle it, although it does crack easily(I made extra loops!) Then you start laying the loops & stacking using icing as glue. Once the icing dries it holds together well. The fondant strip around the bottom, I used a detail brush to paint Happy Birthday with gel color & then placed around the cake. Much easier than trying to paint it on the cake! Thank so for being interested, Love you all!!

Hey guys, i have 3 new ones, the Miss. State one is really maroon but it looks so dark in the picture. I have more orders in July, one is a nude woman complete from mid-thigh on up! (boy do i wish I could use the shocked smiley!) & I won't be posting a pic for that one! Smile Another is either Elmo or safari(she hasn't decided yet), & a wedding cake order for Oct that is "denim" colored with white stitching; I'll post a pic of a cake I'm using to go by. Anyways here they are BBS
