I read one on your posts earlier that you were a shagger.  My husband and I used to shag a long time ago but I hurt my back and just couldn't do it anymore.  However, I love to watch folks shag and I love the music.

Do you live in SC by any chance?  We have a beach house in NMB.  We love it there and will retire there in a couple of years.

I'm from the south but not SC specifically but I spent many a spring break there back in the day? I do have a family member who lives there now and has for the last 20 years. I hope the fires haven't affected your area in NMB but that grand strand is a beautiful place. How lucky you can retire there!

Beach music ruled when I was growing up, I was even very good friends with someone who is in a beach band (now that he's all grown up he does it on the side) and saw him performing two weekends ago at a spring game. It made me feel young to see a group line dancing and others just shagging away but I'm really fondest of the older classic beach music. I found a few CD's at Sam's Club recently and made a copy for my kids, they both let me teach them how to shag but my favorite partner is my brother - he rules the double kick-back !!  I can't find many youtubes that are realistically the shag we used to do however, so many are so full of 'trick' steps?

I can't take a round 2 tonight.  Round 1 did me in.  Good night, pleasant dreams. Tomorrow I go to Nashville to the outlet mall shopping.  Today I cleaned out my closets.  Needs clothes now.  Husband will be beside himself when I tell him in the morning we are going shopping.

Blue Moon - I hope the trip turns out to be a fun one, I'd love to go shopping with my hubby so tell him I'm so jealous

HUGS back Bearly and thank you! I looked at a few photos of Rick at son's senior dance, before I hit the hay last night. All the music made me a bit more emotional but at least I had a keeper right?

We'll have to have a disco night, a hip-hop night, R&B.........maybe we make Sat night a revolving music and party night on musings? Which would you pick as your favorite type of music?
