HINES, Ore. -- Authorities in Oregon have issued on AMBER Alert for a boy taken by his birth mother from state custody.

State officials believe child is in danger. According to the Alert, the mother has a history of drug use and abandonment issues. Both suspects suspected meth & heroin users.

Be on the lookout for a black 1995 Toyota Camry 4-door with Oregon license plate number:182CYE. If seen, call 911.

Suspect 2: Mark Aries Male poss 39 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 230 lbs., Salt/Pepper hair. Additional information: Long hair and mustache

HINES, Ore. -- An Amber Alert was activated Wednesday morning after a 5-year-old boy was taken from state custody in eastern Oregon, authorities said.

Authorities said 5-year-old Masson Weller is with his mother, Myranda Denny, who has a history of drug use and abandonment issues. Denny took her son from the small eastern Oregon town of Hines. She is a suspected methamphetamine and heroine user, according to police.

Mark Aries, 39, may also be with Denny and her son, authorities said.

They're believed to be in a black 1995 Toyota Camry four-door with an Oregon license plate number of 182CYE. They also have a small white dog named "Buzz" in the car.

Masson Weller is described as white, 3 feet 8 inches tall and 45 pounds. He has sandy, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue pajama pants and no shoes.

Denny is described as white, 27 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 155 pounds with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She is missing teeth and has a cracked front tooth. She was last seen wearing jeans, a dark T-shirt and knee-high boots over jeans.

Aries is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 230 pounds. He has long hair and a mustache.

Anyone with information on their location is asked to call 911 immediately.

HINES, Ore. -- A 5-year-old boy who was taken from state custody in eastern Oregon was found safe Wednesday in California, state police said.

Oregon State Police said 5-year-old Masson Weller was taken by his mother, Myranda Denny, who has a history of drug use and abandonment issues. Denny took her son from foster care in the small eastern Oregon town of Hines, leading police to activate an Amber Alert.

Mark Ayers, 24, was also with Denny and her son, authorities said. Ayers and Denny are suspected methamphetamine and heroin users, according to police.

Sheriff's deputies in California stopped the suspects' car just across the California-Nevada border on Wednesday morning. Weller was found safe and the suspects were detained.
