Lots of people on many sites have raised questions whether the Skeeters recording, which we host, is legitimate. Some have asked where I got it and if I knew for sure that the recording which I am hosting is real, or whether it has been altered to show Deepak as saying, "No, she didn't," or perhaps edited to eliminate places where Deepak, either confessed, or accused Joran of a crime.

I think it is real. However, no one can know for sure, unless we are able to have a professional, forensic, audiology laboratory check the recording to see if this version has been altered. I have not had such a test conducted, but I would welcome just such an evaluation.

I only know what I have been told. I received the recording directly from the Aruban Police Department. I was told that it is exactly what was provided to the NFI (Netherlands Forensic Institute) and verified as having not been manipulated in any way. It was my understanding that the same recording that I received had also been provided (prior to my receiving it) to the major media networks and cable channels, and while some networks broadcast tiny segments (and often misinterpreted those), none of them hosted the entire recording on their websites. So, I didn't have it first or exclusively, but I think that after none of the major media outlets hosted it, they simply sought another outlet. I had volunteered to host it prior to Fox News and MSNBC getting a copy, but nothing came from that offer by me until later. After a while, I was told that the necessary approval had been given (it was mentioned that a nod came even from the prosecutor) and then the recording was provided to me in the form of a ".rar" compression (said to be a better method than zip to preserve the integrity of video files). I was told that the reason I was being given it was because they felt that the Scrux site had been fair in its presentation of information and that they simply wanted the truthful version to be available to anyone who would have any doubts about what was actually said in the interview. Since I didn't get this first (like the media outlets did) I have never regarded being able to host it as having much significance, as it would if there had been exclusivity.

Some people have speculated that I probably got this from a defense attorney or maybe one of the Aruban public relations groups. I did not get a copy from any of those sources. I simply would not have hosted the recording if it had come from anyone other than the proper authority. Receiving this directly from the Aruban Police provided me assurance and confidence that it was exactly what they maintained it to be. They did not ask me not to reveal my source, however, I chose not to identify them, because I didn't think it would serve any useful purpose to do so at that time. I felt that the recording would stand on its own and that if anyone found any flaws, we would hear about them quickly. That is the reason I hosted them incrementally, putting up small portions at first, to see if anyone out there would provide any negative analysis of those first snippets. When no objections of an authoritative technical nature were ever raised, I went ahead and posted the remainder.

At the time I received it, and subsequently when I began to host it, I made the assumption that the Aruban Police would have had no reason to provide me with an altered version. I still believe that, but after reading some of the questions people have raised about these recordings, I would welcome an independent verification. What would be significant about this recording, if it were shown to have been altered to show Deepak saying, "No, she didn't," as opposed to "She did," would be that this would be direct evidence of a cover-up by the Aruban Police. I don't believe that is the case and can't imagine that they would provide me with a recording for the purpose of my hosting it on the internet, which they knew could ultimately be proven to be fraudulent. But, if it were shown to be bogus, that would be a blockbuster revelation.

So, I stand by the tapes, simply because of my belief (maybe naively) that the Aruban Police wouldn't be a participant in any irregularity of such magnitude.

Therefore, I invite anyone to set up testing in a credible, reputable forensic audiology laboratory. I will provide to that laboratory the "rar" file, which the Aruban Police provided to me (although a test of the overlapping segments we host would be exactly the same). Such a test would go a long way in establishing the legitimacy of what we are hosting. My reason for discussing this situation at this time is because I, along with many others, have raised the possibility of approaching Dr. Phil (and Oprah, because of her association with Dr. Phil) and confronting them about their presentation of excerpts, which are very different than what we are hosting. If anyone is going to make such a confrontation, it is important that they would first know the source of the recording and then have some kind of validation conducted, which would fully substantiate the recording.

I was there this morning and 2 people told me that Joran is there on the Roosenberg Unit .The man on the pic below told me and someone who works there.
The Roosenberg unit is not an open Unit you can see that on the 3th pic .

I have it on first hand authority that their attorneys are paying very close attention to message boards and blogs.
