A STEPFATHER'S FRUSTRATION (Continued)

NANCY GRACE - February 15, 2008

JUG TWITTY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY`S STEPFATHER: Well, Holly, I`ll tell you, it`s very disappointing. But it doesn`t surprise me. I`ll tell you what really made me sick today to be honest with you is to see his U.S. attorney, Joe Tacopina, whoever, who has been kind of hiding for the last week because he didn`t know what was going to happen all of a sudden come on and he`s all over the TV now. And he is just saying, you know, with a smirk on his face, which just it makes me sick.

But, yes, hey I told you so, nothing was going to happen. When he knows Joran is a time bomb just waiting to -- you know, to blow up.

Don't get me started on Tacopina! He claims:  'don't believe anything my client says -- he is a liar'. .... that's like the kid that murders his parents and then asks for leniency because 'he's an orphan'.

Did anyone catch Dana's show last night?

If so, anything about Natalee?

TIA

Hi Anna.  Do we have any new news?

I'm never far away, AZLady!

No real news since the release and unprecedented success of the movie other than Joran running around in NL with some huge fat guy named Jaap.

Supposedly preparing some kind of special to be aired on NL tv soon.

I'm not so sure about Schaefer, perhaps at the beginning he might have been a dupee but I think by the time the Arubans were all over the Persistence he could no longer be unaware. At some point he became complicit.

Even if you remove the question of whether it was Natalee in the trap or not.........Silvetti was never in this to find her. It was just one more fly-over like the dutch jets, except this time Aruba chose to make it appear to be totally unrelated to Aruban resources or LE or powers that be. I 'think' that's because even Aruba realizes their credibility was shot.

It was Schaefer who had the financial problems BEFORE the "altruistic" endeavor. That alone makes me wary. I still think Sivetti is the ringleader though.

From the reading I've done looking into their line of business, there is not a nice way to say "they ae all sleeping together".  It's the way it is, imo.
Okay! Again, I agree! Now lets talk Kyle. I still think he started out clean and naive. I think he soon realized in a very close-knit, limited field of endeavor  - he realized where his bread was buttered and succumbed.

You could be right, Wreck.  I am not sure.  I don't think it was the first time he worked for John and/or Louis, iirc.  Now thinking about his blog about the Natalee search, I wonder if he decided what was posted and when, or if others made the decision.  There are no new updates there, to my knowledge.

His invoices were mentioned, indeed.  He's now updated his business website to boost his business prospects, so maybe the fallout from his internet faux pas has taken it's toll.  Again, I just don't know but I'm personally not convinced he was duped.

Got caught talking out of school about the boss!  Quick backtrack but too late as was all caught on film sotaspeak.

I wonder if any of them realized the potential for work in the area before the search began.  Surely they had to know.  Seems to be the ultimate in work in their field in the world right now right in that area.  The fumes went to their head, IMO.

I'm watching the movie now and jumping back and forth here.  Not like I don't know what's going to happen (in the movie, I mean).  It's fairly accurate so far, but I did miss see Paulus at that blackjack table.

AZLady,

No Paulus at the Blackjack table but the one who bumps into Natalee dancing later in the evening looks remarkably like him.  So maybe a combined character?

Maybe, but there was an older man who bumped into Natalee dancing the night before Joran kidnapped her.  So, maybe that was him.  I think Paulus's character was intentionally kept out of the casino--but that's just my opinion.

This movie is hard to watch.  It's really difficult to see this in real life--with real people showing what happened.  So difficult.

I thought it was Geoffrey von Cromvoirt who bumped into Natalee at C&C but you may be right that it was older man.  Seems a lot of artistic license taken with the movie but on the whole, it is pretty accurate.
