Mornin'

Remember when Cindy says "No one leaves their pocketbook in the car"..and is adamant about it to detectives during the interview! She is referring to Amy leaving her checkbook in the console of HER OWN CAR!! Cindy finds this weird??  She evens questions Casey about it whilst in jail!!  This proves Cindy knew.

Heck if Casey did not drive around so much she could of taken the car to a remote spot and burned it with the gas in the cans she stole!  Tony L DID break open the shed so,  is this why  a tool expert would be brought in?  IIRC...Tony admitted to this and an expert would be a waste of time and money...YA THINK??
I do not think this tool expert has anything to do with the shed or the gas cans.  I am more inclined to think along with others that it has something to do with match the duct tape and the garbage bags by their cuts.

I think so too Dolce. This will interesting.

Buenos Dias mi mono amigos!

Following up on my post from yesterday regarding the Prosecution's strategy.

I agree with those monkeys who believe that the OJ jury's decision was more than science.  It was racial to be sure.  But the jurors could hide their racist decision behind the science.  One juror even said that she did not trust science because of a false home pregnancy test.  It was a unique situation in our judicial history.

There is no such motivation in this case.  If the jurors decide to find her not guilty, it will not be on a racial basis.  Nor will it be the because of faulty science.  The general public has a much better understanding of courtroom science issues today - whether from following the OJ trial or watching the numerous TV shows on the subject.

To be sure, science will play a great part in this trial, but it will be the words and actions of KC that will doom her to death in the end.

I could not agree more!  One thing that "science" has running in its favor is the fact that all 3 CSI shows are on the top 10 list of most watched by tv viewers.  I know that is not a "sure thing" for the prosecution, but it does mean that more and more people are aware of the types of things that can be done and are more inclined to not think in terms of "junk science".  Also to add to that mix the many Law and Order shows that show court room drama at its best, and even the funny ones like Boston Legal, which may more closely mimic the idiocracy of Baez's firm.
....I guess what I am trying to say is that if Baez comes into this trial with his "junk science" ideas and bad mouths "Grissom", well he will be insulting the intelligence of not only the jury but the people.....so I say "good luck with that!"

I think Lee had to have gotten the info thru JB or when Casey was out on bond.  Do you feel that a lot of damage was done by bonding Casey out of jail? Not that I'm blaming LP. I think his heart was in the right place.
I do not think that any damage was done in regards to bonding her out, other than to LP's wallet.  By bonding her out we received a key piece of evidence in this case.  We saw Casey immediately call the cops when she realized that her parents were about to be smacked down by protesters and her life was possibly in danger......the Prosecution is going to play these 911 calls for the jury and then ask why this same action was not taken when Casey realized her daughter was "in danger by the suposed Nanny".  This phone call potentially blew the defenses case right out of the water....that of course is MO.

I agree, shows Casey was perfectly capable of calling 911 with an emergency...her idea of an emergency was 26 cents being thrown at her house, there was no reason for her parents to go outside with bats & hoses in hand either - they should have just stayed inside and called themselves.       So yet once again their theatrics backfired on them.

Instead of bats and hoses,I'm suprised they didn't set out the tip jars then.    I know that's ugly...but it's true.

I agree that someone told DC where to look for the body. It was Lee im sure of it. He was the only one who could get that information from KC. But when? I'm sure the house is bugged as are the phones. So do you suppose it was through JB???
I agree, someone did tell DC where to look for the body, and I agree that I think it was Lee.  I believe that Casey filled both Cindy and Lee in on all of what was going on the night that George was noted to have taken the walk and the powwow commenced between the 3 of the other remaining Anthonys.  I believe that they all knew prior to that Caylee was no longer alive, I just do not think they were privy to all of the details until that point.
Why do I think this?  Well because we see Lee running around like an idiot after Casey was found and then being questioned by police.  I think that if they were fully aware of all the details at that point they all would have shut up and not tried to talk to any of Casey's friends or Tony.  I believe they knew that Caylee was gone, but I think they were trying to better understand the situation.  (Did that make sense?)   I just do not see Cindy or Lee talking to everyone if they knew the whole story, they would have been more hush hush IMO out of caution and worry of who to trust.

I agree too. If Cindy knew all the facts, she would never have called 911 in the first place. She may have just choked Casey and ended it then and there. They'd have preferred to keep in all in the family. IMO

What is a deposition?
By Sarah Lundy | Sentinel Staff Writer
8:56 AM EDT, April 27, 2009

A: Yes. Statements are given under oath. The person must tell the truth. If information the witness gives in a deposition is different from what the person testifies to in court, a lawyer can show the difference and how the witness may not be telling the truth.

Q: Can a person be cross-examined during the deposition?

A: Yes. Both sides can ask questions, especially common in depositions in a criminal case.

Q: Can someone by forced to attend a deposition?

A: Yes. A witness can be served a subpoena, which is a court order requiring the person to show up. If the witness does not attend, he or she could be held in contempt of court.

For instance, Dominic Casey, a private investigator who works for the Anthony family, failed to show up for his deposition in a defamation case against Anthony. The attorneys for the Zenaida Gonzalez, the woman suing Anthony, filed a contempt of court motion because he didn't honor the subpoena. The judge has not ruled on the motion.

Q: Does the witness, who is forced to attend a deposition, have to answer all questions?

A: No. There are certain circumstances when a witness does not have to answer a question. A witness does not have to reply to a question if the information is privileged, such as conversations between a doctor and patient, husband and wife or lawyer and client.

If it's not a privileged conversation and a witness chooses not to answer a question, the inquiring attorney can take that question to the judge and ask the judge to force the witness to answer.

Anthony's brother, Lee, didn't answer a question about whether his sister was responsible for 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony's disappearance. Attorneys for Gonzalez plan to take the question to the judge.

Q: Can a witness bring their own attorney to a deposition?

A: Yes. The lawyer can come with a witness and object to certain questions. Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, had their attorney, Brad Conway, accompany them for the depositions in the civil case. He objected to some questions.

Q: Are depositions open to the public?

A: No. Neither the public nor members of the media is permitted to attend a deposition. In fact, it's common lately to find reporters and photographers huddled outside the State Attorney's office. That's where witnesses, including one of Anthony's friends and corrections officers who escorted her at the jail, are being deposed by Anthony's attorney in the criminal case.

Despite the lack of public scrutiny on the deposition itself, attorneys can file transcripts, audio and video recordings of the depositions after they're completed. Gonzalez's attorneys have done that after every deposition taken so far, including the ones of Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony.

Hi Dolce,
I didn't hear/read that Baez smuggled a letter out on behalf of Casey.  I thought at one stage she said she could send mail outside, and it would not be read.  However, all incoming mail would be opened.  Maybe I'm wrong on this.

I think Casey is extremely conniving.  She has a lot of anger, that girl, enough to pull down everyone who loves her (and I think her parents and brother DO love her. They are sacrificing everything, and will live to regret it deeply). I believe at some time soon after Caylee was born, this girl was coping...but anger and jealousy ate whatever was good in Casey away.  She has given in to the dark side of her nature.

Time for bed folks.  It's 10:40 here in Singapore.  If you see KCJackie, please tell her I posted on page 49 of the Musings cage.  She was asking people about Singapore.   Nite all.  Thank you for the welcome

D+2...weren't there several letters? One to each of the A's? I have wondered about them as well...and of course my mind goes wild on what was in them.

I don't know that he pushed her either, however I am relatively confident that he didn't discourage not to turn down any pleas either. He thinks of himself as a high-profile attorney now. As long as this goes on he is still getting $$$'s and media coverage, which he thinks makes him HIGH PROFILE! Just proves what a BOZO he really is.
