Good morning Monkey friends! 

My 22 y/o brother and his girlfriend just had their first baby Natalee Abrianna.  She made her appearance into the world Saturday morning at 3:42am.  She was 7 pounds 5 ounces, and 17.5 inches.

I was given permission from my brother and my soon to be sister-in-law to post these two photos for you all.  Here is Natalee Abrianna:

Happy to share!  My brother is beaming from ear to ear with pride.  Hubs was able to practice and try out his baby talk.

Yes!  We are excited for the many play dates.  My Ma is beside herself with excitement too.  She will have more grandbabies than arms, and that is just fine with her.

I fear I missed the party last night, I worked outside in my yard despite the light rain and planted and weeded much of the day, but then some bad storms moved in last night and our internet was out until this morning. I was so tired (I hate getting older) that I'm not sure I could have danced much last night 

My daughter took some spring photos last week and I thought I'd post two of them.

This one is Sophie with a camellia, Klaas helped to birth Sophie a few years back 



Then daughter spied these tulips and pansies while we were driving to my son's spring game and leaped out of the car and stood in traffic to take this one 



Spring is my fave time of year, when the earth comes back to life and before it's so horribly hot and humid here in the south.

I hope everyone has a great day, we have light rain again but I'm heading out to finish planting some more annuals.

Thanks!  She is named after her Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  Althought my brothers fiance decided to change the spelling of Natalee a bit, her first name is after my brothers fiance's Mom, and Abrianna is our Grandmothers name.  My father was saying it is a powerful name that gives much meaning.

Dolce, she is such a sweet angel!!!! Her pictures show a face that everybody will want to kiss all over and love and adore and she's a very lucky little girl to have you for an auntie!

Well, I can't leave well enough alone, I never can, so I knew about a fun website where you can do fun stuff with photos and I hope you don't mind, but here's what I mean:

Some of the website's photo effects are free (like the ones above) and some, you have to pay to join the website ($19.99 a year, I think, but not sure because I never paid for anything).

Enjoy that baby!!!  Nieces are sort of on par with grandchildren in that you get to spoil the heck out of them and have all the fun then hand them back to their parents.

Oh, man, I'm in trouble now because this website has a kajillion free photo effects (you have to scroll the page to see them all):



Okay... I am now stepping away from the computer. I need coffee. Ugh. And, I have to finish mowing the lawn today. It's taking me over a week to get the job done (I have degenerative arthritis and heart failure so I poop out fast). And yes, coffee seems to make my ticker tick better and it smooths out the rough edges. Coffee - the wonder drug.

I guess I won't be in my yard anymore today, another black racer snake (guess it's Blackie's offspring from last spring for it's only 3 feet long) showed up and our pup we love so much, went after it - he has several bites to his face now to prove it, so here's Blackie. I'm heartsick, these black racers really are aggressive and I so hoped my new fence would keep them out.

Is Big Red OK?  He can get abscess from non-poisonous snake bite as well and likely will have to take antibiotics!  Their mouths are pretty dirty from eating mice and such.

Two inches of rain per hour is pretty much torrential by any standard.  It is deafening on my roof and drowns out satellite connections and causes electricity to go off for whatever reasons.  Every week end it is something like this.

A swath across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama to northern Georgia and southeastern Tennessee will have storms wielding damaging winds and flooding downpours. Winds could top 65 mph and rainfall exceed 2 inches within an hour or two. Shreveport, Jackson and Birmingham will number among cities within this corridor.

Anna- thankfully we have a vet who doesn't mind us calling at home, both little none and I were in tears for at first he laid down in the grass and wouldn't get up? So we called and she advised we just clean the bites with hydrogen peroxide and watch for swelling very closely. I expect we'll take him in tomorrow even if nothing emerges, it just scared us both so much. Our big Red was trying to control his perimeter, bless his heart !!
