Kat_Gram - the panda will be named on it's 100th day, which puts it at December 15 or thereabouts. (It's a Chinese custom.)

I am sorry I went off topic. I posted a couple of pictures in the panda thread in the lounge. (The naming date is there, too.)

Back to it.

Beth & Dave & Art say Joran was not at school on Monday.

They also say that Deepak's car was in the driveway, and someone in CC's car "jumped" to read the plate #. (They gave the boys' names - I don't have them off the top of my head; Debbie's post includes them.)

Natalee's Spanish was quite good.

The chaperone notified Beth. Matt notified Dave.

The phone call CC listened to was the "William" call and there was NO verbiage - just odd noise. It "came from" a Florida number. William was on the trip but didn't listen to the message until on the plane/bus/back home. At this point, Beth & Dave & Art do not feel the call was connected to Natalee. (I am not sure, but I think they said "William" gave them his cell phone and they took it with them to Aruba.)

C&C closing at 12:30 am on Mondays- Wonder how that impacts the timeline?

Last I heard Joran was back in Aruba laying low. That was during and after Beth was in Holland doing the Jensen show.

Thanks dkpen.  If that's true, I guess he quit school or took a semester off.  What will he do with his life now?

I imagine that Queen Beatrix would come with her own version of the Secret Service or MI5. They would really have to sweep the place out.

Well, gee, I thought we had always known that CnC's closed at 12:30 on Sundays, never thought that was ever in dispute.

Oh, he'll blame Natalee for his becomng a bum. Yet as far as I can determine, it was in the cards for him way before that.

Well, KBM and I'm sure others down there think PVDS lost his job because of the case. Luckily we had info that shows otherwise.

The really nutty part is that Paul said he was trying to deposit Joran's casino cash winnings on Monday, May 30th at 10 AM but Joran had not won that money yet.  According to Andre Dos Santos, Joran won $500 US that he exchanged for florins, late in the evening or early in the morning on May30/31.  Paul's memory of his own activities on Monday, May 30th don't make sense and cannot be true.

Might be they stop serving drinks at 12:30 and they give you the 1/2 hour to vacate the premises. There was a security shot from Diamonds International of D"s car, reportd to be timed at 1 :12 or 1: 18.

It was Albert that jumped the fence to read Deepaks license plate. For some reason I want to say Albert Levy but I know that's not the correct last name. But, I do know it was Albert who jumped over the fence.

That is so appropiate!  LOL.

Hi MsMarple!

Does anyone else remember the story about the Aruban police who ran over some woman drug addict? They either took her statement, then denied the whole thing happened OR it was a hit and run.  Then months later the woman wanted to know what became of her case?

I swear I didn't dream this story up.  It should definitely be added to the Murder & Crime thread.

If you remember it or have the post/story will you please repost it?  Thanks!

Dunno, I always thought the schedule was 1:30 weekdays and 12:30 Sundays.

3 amigos showed up at 12:00 or so and only had a 1/2hr to get the job done.

Your welcome LilPuma.

You know, wasn't there a new law Holland past about sending troubled kids back to Aruba if they caused problems? Or something like that? Maybe they decided Joran falls under that new law?

I thought it was 1:00 a.m. too.

I'm not a bar expert, but "last call" and "closing time" aren't one in the same, are they?

Don't know if it matters. J2K supposedly didn't even leave the VDS home until after midnight? This was some fast work ...

The story about Alberto Groenvaeld jumping the fence and getting the tag number was told very early on on the RWV.

From what I recall CnCs announced last call and closing at 1am and it was said that it was unusual because they normally stayed open until 1:30am.
Everyone was trying to scramble to leave because CnCs abruptly called "last call".
