Not sure JG, but I don't put much stock into granny's story anyway, I am not even sure she went there that night. She also says in that article that Misty "is a lot more mature than other people I’ve seen" ...... not sure who those people are but...... Misty and mature don't belong in the same sentence.

I say behave to my grand daughter when she goes home to her parents...just so that she doesn't get scolded by her mom or dad...I can't stand to see her get into trouble, even if she has been naughty...I don't say it for any other reason except that I don't want to see her get scolded no matter what she does! Granny Sykes seems like she is just a southern granny that loves them grand kids...I see nothing sinister about granny...even if she does think that Misty is mature..

Thanks cookie, my kids are still young, 8 and 6 so I am far away from being a grandma (HOPEFULLY), I have just never heard my kid's grandparents tell them to behave .... they probably do tho.

I still am unsure about her story of dropping by that night, I don't know why she would lie, and I'm not even sure if she did, it just took a while for that story to come out.

I agree Maven... I dont believe anything that comes out of GGranny mouth.. I just found it odd that one of her last words to Haleigh if she is going to behave.....

It is odd that she would say that, I tell my kids when I drop them off at their grandmothers  house to behave, but their grandmother has never come to visit and told my kids to behave before she left......... if what AH has reported from Ron's co-worker is true ...... that Haleigh did push Misty's buttons, I wonder was GGranny afraid of what may happen to Haleigh if she would continue to misbehave while in Misty's care?

Just thinking Outloud.... Maybe Fibsty called Ron again and toldl him that she was having problems with Haleigh and Ron sent over  sargent GGranny ...

Does anyone really believe that Misty could not handle Haleigh herself? some think that Misty did severe harm to Haleigh...but yet  she calls Ron when Haleigh misbehaves? I have a grand daughter around the same age..it isn't like dealing with teenagers for heaven sake... and Haleigh hardly looks to be a kid who would misbehave...from all that we have heard, she was a very well behaved child...And if Ron was the abuser that others have posted about him, don't you think that Haleigh would behave with the threat that if she didn't that her dad would make her sorry when he got home? She would be too afraid not to behave...jmo.....I am not buying it that Misty would call ron...I think that she is a tough enough girl to take care of misbehaving all on her own....if there was any misbehaving...

I do especially Fibsty coming back from a 3 day bender and she stated she was tired in interviews....

The senerio is GGranny came to visit the kids to drop off clothes. I never had my mom come to my house and before she left tell my kids are they going to behave .

I don't think it is a big deal or anything about granny saying to behave...
jmo.....
like I said, I have said it to my grand daughter when her parents pick her up or when I drop her off...nothing meant by it...
do you think saying....be good....is anything? cause I have said that to her as well...be a good girl for grammy...just a loving gesture cause she;s my girl...

that being said, there were probably 50 times or more that granny didn't say anything like that to Haleigh when she saw her...just like I don't say that to my grand daughter every time I see her, but I have said "behave" to her before....

oh cookie I wasn't disagreeing with you, I was just thanking you for your POV as a grandmother, I am not one so I have no idea what that experience is like.

I did not mean or think that you are odd, after reading your post .... my response was just saying that I think my kids grandparents probably do say the same thing to them .......even tho I don't hear it.

sorry if my post sounded like I was calling you odd or anything, it is not what I meant to say.

Anyone see mioyshi on this evening???  I was watching and went out for a bit, and am curious how her day went, if she made the canoe trip or not.  I know it is her birthday, maybe doing some celebrating.

That is funny.    This reminded me of something. I wasn't going to post this cause it's OT ... but when I was 16-17, I babysat for my cousin's little boy... he was four, and he had a mouth like a sailor  I had him for just about every day and night during the summer and in the afternoons during school time. I had tried "time out" and everything I could think of to make him stop using "bad words", and one day I told him the the "cursing cops" were gonna come get him.... couple days later we were outside and he said "oh sh*t", and within seconds we heard sirens ... I will never forget the look on his face  ...it was priceless, I can say he never cursed again in my presence anyway.  Sadly it did not 'stick', mainly cause his dad is who is, and his mom is who she is, but he is sitting in juvey right now.
