Two Injured During Home Invasion Robbery

   Crescent City - At about 7:00 PM on Monday evening (05/11), at 1217 Old Highway 17, in Crescent City, four (4) South Putnam County residents were the victims of a home invasion robbery. The victims reported to Deputy Chris Gay that three (3) black males, dressed in black, entered their residence armed with handguns. Two of the residents were pistol whipped, one requiring medical attention at Putnam Community Medical Center. The three armed men demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the victims before fleeing from the residence in a white Chevrolet Trailblazer. The identity of the suspects is unknown at this time.                 

Sheriff Jeff Hardy has assigned Investigator Julie Walker of the Major Crimes Unit to the investigation.

Anyone with information concerning this incident, or the identity of the individuals responsible for this crime, are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477).

No none of this is finding Haleigh, but it is fair to say none of these people are what you would call upstanding citizens, looks to me they just thumb their noses up to the law. Also seems to me that most of these people never should have reproduced, but to late for any of that. I just hope LE is going to have something soon on Haleigh.

And my 2 cents is that none of us know what any of these parents and grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. are currently involved in.

All we have is some past arrest records.  We do not have or know what these people do currently in their everyday lives in their own homes.

WHY???  Would Ron go along with Crystal taking Haleigh, and putting Misty in the spotlight??? 

I don't think he was going along with it, but remember his statements that he rather knew who took Haleigh, but never speculated..  I don't think he intented to put short elevator in the spotlight, once this train took off it rather made a life for itself.. I don't think anyone of them were prepared for this case.. And all short elevator really knew was that she passed out, woke up, Haleigh was gone and I don't believe they knew the reality until after the call to LE..  I speculate that ron still has feelings for Crystal, and she was getting married.  He may well have not been too agreeable to that issue.  You know you have to care for a person to hate them..  Now, by his getting married he was punishing Crystal..  You have to remember that when the call was made to LE, it was out of all of their hands.   Short elevator may have been threatening to tell everything she knew..  LE would not have been happy to find out that Crystal had come in and taken Haleigh and ron had been notified by a note left for him, telling him where she was and why she was taken..  Both would have been under the carpet with LE for starting such a brew...  And may still be so..  That's where LE is in figuring out that this was not a stranger abduction, and that Haleigh is with Family or people Close to Family that are involved.  As long as they know or believe Haleigh is safe, they can set back and watch all of this family war play out, and then decide what to do.

Wait wait wait Mlee!  I think I might be getting it.  I might be getting what you're saying here....and I have been a supporter of Crystal, only because I am a mother myself.  Now I mentioned once, a while ago about "old feelings" and was of course told I was an idiot on another forum.  But you can't tell me that when you spend years with someone, have FAMILY PICTURES taken, have CHILDREN together, that those old feelings DONT COME UP.  You know how to fight with each other, you know what hurts.  It's the middle of the night, things have gone wrong, your mind starts to wander. Probably would piss him off that she was getting married.  (I know way too many people that this goes on with, sad to say) 

So let's say Crystal took Haleigh and left him a note.  He calls the police and then it's out of his hands, but Misty got involved by being there.  He knew it was Crystal, or someone did it FOR Crystal, but somehow one lie turned into about a hundred.

Or maybe he didn't know at first, and it took a few days.  Remember, it has to be simple.  I don't believe these people actually planned out anything, or figured out ahead of time what to say.  I think the more simple it is, the closer we will come to the truth.  I believe they run on emotions, not schemes.

And Jr. WAS NOT taken, because Haleigh "is his heart".  So she was getting married, he was upset, decided to go after her for child support, she didn't like Misty, she decided to hit below the belt with Haleigh....?  I don't know.  Good GRIEF I wish they'd find this little girl!

Marie has also been arrested for distributing drugs right? when Crystal was younger? does that have anything to do with finding Haleigh? who were her contacts then? a deal gone wrong all those years ago? anything is possible if we are going to consider ALL family members back grounds....

Never seen any records on that Cookie.. and I have gone over the arrest records.. So.. I don't think that is a path to go on.  The closer records available, and info that has come out about drug issues that are current that would even spell the word revenge is setting on ron and short elevators laps only..  No way around it, cannot be redirected to a past speculation. I read the same rumor the other day, think thats where you found it.. I believe that is an attempt to redirect.

I don't think any of these people are smart enough to pull this off.  How on earth could these people plan something of this magnitude, much less follow through with it and fool LE and the FBI.  Just my humble opinion here.

I do think Misty is the key here, if only the truth was in her to come forward.

I'm having a hard time thinking about these people pulling anything off also.

Rose it really isn't that big.. it's really very simple.  someone knocked on that door, or had a key.. Haleigh walked out of that house without even blinking an eye.. She was with someone that she loved and trusted.  Who could she be with.. think how vast their extended families are..... All over Florida, All over the Country.  Would cousins get involved.... mine would, what about yours?   Hey, short elevator would have been out like a light, they just had to be quiet and leave quietly..   Everyone can invision a predator coming in and taking a struggling child out, without problems..  Why is it much more difficult to think that a parent or parents family could do the same thing with out struggle or problems.  Intent is the basis. "I'm going to get Haleigh". thats the planning.  Leave a note, saying I took Haleigh,  and will keep her until you get ride of that girl that's living here thats on drugs..  That's all it had to say....

Hello, Im back finally, with my drugged up daughter in tow, just kidding, but she cant feel a thing right now and I am a nervous wreck for having to sit in the oposite chair and watch while drills and needles and such was around her face, Im a mother hen I know but it scared me to death, Now Im babying her and glad she can finally rest!

   Anyway, I dont find it far fetched to think this way but what I do find difficult to understand about his, is, I dont think for one minute someone would take Haleigh just to get Misty out of Rons life nor do I think he would ablidge them and not tell LE everything if that was the way it happened, I dont see him bowing down to anyone,  If in fact a family member took Haleigh I dont think they would say anything, they would get her and go and never look back....

Exactly, because someone stated they saw the two girls riding around with Greg that weekend, and in the postings this morning, there was a statement that Johnny Sheffield lives in Satsuma.. Now, I wasn't aware of that.. I though he lived in another county.  But, there has also been speculated postings that both Chad and Crystal were in Satsuma that night that Haleigh disappeared..  Now for those who cannot imagine ron and crystal, here is a bit for thought.  Also the photos of Haleigh's first day at school,  photo at ron's.. recognize the tv.. which is the same one that he had in the bedroom the night Haleigh went missing.. And the photo of her catching the school bus.. one question never came up, who took the photos..  we take for granted that they were taken by short elevator or ron's mom..  Well since they were found on Crystal's Myspace.... what if they were taken by Crystal.. after all she stated in interviews that she and ron got along real good.

In crestview, there is a Jim Sheffield and his wife..  note: where there was a sighting of Haleigh in a Winn Dixie, that was counted out.. The lady said she saw her wearing a pony tail, walking with a lady, and the woman sang Haleigh,and the little girl turned and looked her in the eye. They drove off in a dark car that looked like a mustang, with a memorial on the care in white letters.
