JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Human remains found in the Galilee have been identified as an American-Israeli teenager missing for six years.
Dana Bennett disappeared Aug. 1, 2003 after she left work at a restaurant in Tiberias.
A court-imposed gag order was placed on the rest of the details of the case.
Police and volunteers launched a massive search for Bennett, 18, at the time of her disappearance, which involved the FBI since she also was an American citizen.
A Chicago native, Bennett had come to Israel to study and live at Kibbutz Tirat Tzvi in 1999. Her mother lives in Tiberias and her father in Los Angeles.

DPJ - and what brought you to SM to discuss the NH case after all this time?   

They were personal or selfish reasons klaasend.

During the last months of 2008 it became clear to me that for professional reasons I probably would have to move for some time to the Dutch Antilles.
In the same period there was a renewed interest in the case here in Holland due to Joran's antics in Thailand and Peter de Vries' coverage.

Those two made me do some googling on Aruba, Natalee and Joran which led me quickly to Scared Monkeys, so that's why I drop in here once in a while.

I don't post much but maybe I can contribute more when I've actually moved to the Antilles.

ORANGE CITY - Former Minister of Telecommunications and Transport Glen Bert Croes need more than 6.6 tonnes florin to the government to repay. That the Court has determined.

The son of the famous politician Betico Croes Comptabiliteitsverordening would have been in 2000 to sign an agreement with trade union Siwa for later payment of arrears of indexation to employees of the Water and Power (WEB). Croes was the sign for indexing have exceeded its budget because he was not authorized for this purpose through a Land Decree. That is required under Article 14 of the Budget.

Croes' lawyers want the case declared inadmissible. Main reason would be that Croes time had received approval from the Cabinet to release funds for disbursement to the employees of indexing WEB. Croes took themselves that the employees of WEB with actions had threatened if he did not agree. It involved the payment of arrears of indexation for the period 1983-1991. Both the Court of First Instance and the Supreme Court had already in 1997 that the workers are not entitled to such indexing. It was Director of the Central Office Legal and General Affairs in response to a letter from Glen Bert Croes that since the privatization of WEB in 1991 workers were no longer in the public and therefore no legal effect on indexing.

The court ruled that the requirement of the government against Croes Croes is lawful and that abuse of his position was made. That he would have received approval of the Ministerial Council does not, according to the court. Croes itself is responsible and therefore under condemnation for the reimbursement of over 6 tonnes and about 36 thousand florin florin cost and a separate rate amount

First to Cuba for 4 weeks to revive my now rusty Spanish in exchange for some volunteer medical work and after that an introductory period in Curacao and 9 to 12 months of work in Aruba.

No Bonaire however I'd like to do some travel in the region, so who knows I get to see van der Straaten and can ask him some questions he badly needs to answer.
