Hello to any monkeys out there.

Carnut-are you going to write a "Dear Abby" sort of column?

Easy-Betrayal by one you thought was your friend?  Painful.

Think I just kinda got on a roll tonight, almost like being back in the 'Chat Room'.

Carnut, I am sitting here weepy myself.  I think we have all been through so much with one another as we have tried to work through Natalee's disappearance and trying to find justice.  I hope we have not only  helped support the Holloway-Twitty's, but also the friends we have meet along the way.

Leslie - thank you for the Solo Di Pueblolinks

I almost didn't recognize him without Klaas's colorful outfit.  Looks like he is still at the airport...(June 23, page 20)

No, I'm not upset with it.  Just asking questions.  You know, inquiring minds and all.  I guess what I and perhaps Louise were trying to get at is if some donations from the members can help get a better drive or restoration of data and how much would it take.

Well, you can c l i c k on the ServerPronto logo up in the corner and get an idea what the hosting costs they have available.

I currently run 4 online servers of my own on a $99 a month DSL connection and a barebones setup. I've had my servers online for 6 yrs or so and seemed to have 1 harddrive go out each year among the 4. I also keep two backup harddrives with all my data stored on them along with my 2 development laptops.

It probably takes more time and effort to do the restores than anything else, there's a lot of grunt work involved. Kinda why I've discontinued the forum, guestbook and for sale sections on my on sites.

If you don't do the grunt work yourself then you have to pay someone else to do it and that gets expensive.

Just for grins here's my server page: http://carnut.com/server.html

Easy,

I have an idea for you. I know a song writer / singer whose songs are stories. He has been popular from the 60s onward. He still performs and has gathered a new young audience who didn't know him from the 60s.

Wherever he goes, he has a little notepad and pencil and writes things down. Something he has seen, or heard or read. Each thought on a little piece of paper is put in a basket with other thoughts on paper. The basket grows every day.

When he sits down to write a song, he goes through the basket and all the thoughts, sentences, parts of sentences, etc. This is his source and inspiration for writing songs/stories. He puts different pieces together and from that comes the lyrics.

Whatcha think?

louise:
Here is a link to a guy that I have listened to many times at the festival and when he comes here. He is a transplanted Scotsman who lives in Australia. I had heard some of his songs thru the kids... some of the newer bands.. the Pogues, Spirit of the West, Billy Bragg et al do his stuff.
He travels alot and a thing he says he does is visit the old gravesites and
spins out the story from there. Quite a few of his story songs are about people he has met along the way in this life.
He will make you laugh and cry in the same performance.
Check out He's Nobody's Moggy ( cat in Aussie ) Now. Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  What a scream.
Don't know if he is known in the US ?

Ah, which Ford?

Do you mean something from my Emergency Vehicles pages?

All my pics are taken at various car shows and events around the country and I don't have any info on any of them.
