Also would like to add... Barbara is a very common name for a woman. The Barbara who donated the money could be anybody, would not necessarily have to be related to the Cummings or Crystal either.

I have a question,  I had written to Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum
asking about this case...he sent me a reply and I would like to post it, if that isnt' against the rules... So, if a moderator comes through please let me know.

Still no news.  I have decided not to post  until there is real news or I have something worthwhile to report or share, this case is beyond frustrating.

He did not provide the last name.

There was only speculation here that this Barbara may be related to either Crystal or Ron

Jury recommends death sentence for Lee County man

FORT MYERS (AP) - A jury has recommended the death penalty for a man who was convicted in the death of his infant daughter.

The jury voted 10-2 Tuesday in favor of putting 35-year-old Justin Grodin to death. A circuit judge will make the final decision, but Florida law requires judges to give jury recommendations great weight.

Grodin was convicted on June 17 of killing his 11-month-old daughter Gretchen in April 2000. Her body was found buried in a shallow grave in south Fort Myers the next month.

Grodin will appear in court Aug. 17 for a hearing before he can be sentenced.

Officials: Corrections officer faces charges

LAKELAND (AP) - The Polk County sheriff's office says an officer for the Department of Corrections was arrested during an undercover drug deal.

Deborah Frisina, 51, works at the Zephyrhills Correctional Institution.

Frisina was booked into the Polk County Jail on Monday. She was charged with purchasing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and attempted trafficking in oxycodone.

She was being held without bail until her first appearance Tuesday.
