California: Mexico's maternity ward

When it comes down to it, no financial solvency can occur in this state until there is a complete and total regime change across both sides of the aisle. Entrusting the same broken bureaucracy to fix the problems that caused the problems is like continuing to hire a bad babysitter to watch your kids. It makes no sense whatsoever.

My fellow Californians, it’s time to take on an even more taboo subject for debate today. A special warning to all liberals reading this: Now may be a good time to fire up the medicinal marijuana because issues of race and illegal immigration are about to be discussed, and we all know how painful honest discussions of free thought and individual personal opinion can be for you.

The financial burden of providing social services in the state of California as a result of illegal immigration from Mexico is absolutely staggering. It’s enormous. Yet no republican or democrat state official is willing to go on record and put their job on the line to spearhead a drastic reform of the states’ ‘anchor baby’ policies. I have heard California politicians propose every kind of budget cut and tax increase imaginable. However, social services are never a priority on the ‘fix it list’.

"California tax revolt - the peasants have risen"

The election was a farce, with unions and other special interests spending over $30 million to try and push these measures through. This time, the overburdened taxpayers in the state simply wouldn't buy it.

What happened to California? As Margaret Thatcher famously said, the problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money. That day is today.

Even the real communists and socialists know any system needs money.  If your path is destruction, keep spending.
 

The state is one of the highest taxed in the nation, and like several other states near to financial collapse is controlled by a dysfunctional Democrat-controlled legislature that persists in spending other people's money to buy votes from special interests, and they in turn are controlled by powerful public employee unions like the teachers and the SEIU.

...When you import millions of poor people who consume more in services than they spend in taxes, it tends not to be good for your state's budget.

My state has always enjoyed good social programs, and we pay high taxes.  I don't see a bright future ahead.  The continued spending makes no sense, and doesn't seem to be working.  Will all this spending destroy the state and the nation?

The revolt of the humans?  Before the rise of the machines?  Lots of comments on this page -

re: Quote, "Let's make it possible to come here legally." Believe it or not, it is possible to enter the United States legally. That is likely how my family and yours got here.

The objection is, preventing criminals and those who would place a burden on the community from entering. Currently, Beaners are free to cross the unfenced border in mass hordes. Hospitals, schools and community services in border towns are pushed into ruin. For you to say, "let's grant amnesty to undocumented immigrants" just aggravates the problem these communities face now.

"Two month treks across the Mexican desert"? Tripping over bodies of those who apparently didn't make it. Ok! No doubt some of them have stories to tell. No embellishment I'm sure!

Regardless, there IS a way to enter this country legally and to obtain legal citizenship and to those who do, more power to you, welcome.

First illegal means illegal regardles of whether they are from Mexico, Ireland, India or any other county in the world. The US has immigration laws. There is no reason why any individual from any country on earth should be allowed to ignor those laws and sneak into the country illegally

Our Politicians keep telling us our Immigration laws are broken and we need an comprehensive solution, which are code words for Amnesty, our Immigration Laws are not broken, they just have not been enforced, what is broken is our Political system when we elect Corrupt/Pandering politicians that puts their desires ahead of the Constitution of USA and the Rule of Law!

Meantime, with millions of Americans without jobs, the invasion continues, no Liberal Democrat will address the 500 pound gorilla in the room, and millions of invading, plundering, welfare loving, Illegal Aliens taking millions of jobs that should be American jobs and 100,s billions of dollars in social services that should be for American citizens!
