I have a feeling whatever money Paulus is awarded it will come from the people he is involved with.  They will say it's from the government but I don't think it will be.

They are showing the world it is OK to commit a murder and also be rewarded for it.

Yeah, but, someone's down there loosing some big bucks in lost tourist trade.

Who ever that is I'm sure can't be too happy about it.

The ones that have the big money are not losing it in tourism trade.  They are racking up with on-line gambling, porno, etc., because they can show the rooms filled to whatever, and cover that via money laundering.  The losers in this are the island people who count on the service industry to survive.  Like I said, if they are not willing to stand up to their government and affect change, then let 'em eat cake.

Make no mistake:  The big moneymakers are still shaking.  It's the little people who kept their mouths shut to protect the big ones who are hurting, and if they want to do that, so be it.  

It's like the old saying about we were quite when Hitler came and who will come for us, and they were quiet when the criminal elements took over, so now they suffer the consequences.  American built the island and Arubans allowed the criminal elements to take over.

Hubbylove if you are still here..great to see you and glad you had an awesome time on your vacation!    LaLas.. I havn't forgotten about Nemo.. !! I been busy with work.. wedding..shower.. etc. and my son.
 Gotta have eyes in the back of my head anymore. He went camping with my parents over the weekend. (he rode up with them..I still have his license plate and keys..)  Umm.. Sunday night he and his friends and some chicks at the campground.. got into some mischief and got drunk.
Spent alot of time on the phone with my mom that night. My kid and a few of his buddys were sicker then a dog.. one kid even passed out on someones deck.  Thankfully a teen with some brains went and got my mom and dad and some of the other kids parents.. and told them about my kid and the others and we worried about them. ESP since my kid was barfing his brains out.. and his friend. Took my dad and another guy to pick my 6 ft 2 kid up and carry him onto the deck of their camper.
 I was hoping beyond all hope the next day he would have had a hangover from hell.. but that didnt happen. (maybe since he hurled so much). SOMEONE of age bought these kids booze.. they drank Absolte..Bacardi.. and beer.  I am disapointed in my son.. he could have very well left. But.. nope..He is lucky he didnt get alcohol poisoning. People are trying to find out who  bought the kids the booze. The kids WILL NOT tell. Sooooooo his butt is grounded again..no plate or keys..no car. Oh I am sure since I am a drunk ass hick bitch.. its my fault he drank.lol Sure.. I like to have a few beers here and there. Last I checked its legal..... and I am an old lady!  I had him read an article on the internet about alcohol posioning cause he didnt beleive me you can die from it. I had one of my friends come over and she talked to him because she had it when she was younger and had her stomach pumped. I think the bulb went off FINALLY in his head. I cant say that I am pissed at him...disapointed is more like it.
  Sorry for taking up so much space... and TY to those that has emailed me.. I have been lurking off and on. I have had alot to deal with lately.. and work sucks bigtime the last few days. Pffffffffffffttttttt. I need a vacation. LOL    HUGS to you all.

Exactly Tyler, seems to me that they have never stood up and questioned anything ever.... seems like to me it would be time to start.  I still don't understand how they could think that it wasn't going to hurt tourism.... I didn't follow the man golfing in Jamicia that was killed in the late 80's or early 90's - when ever that happened - but I did know that it wasn't safe to go there ... it's the same with aruba... everyone knows it's not safe...

My mother-in-law wanted to take the whole family, about 20 people, on a Caribbean vacation back then. She suggested Jamaica but everyone told us that Jamaica had a crime problem. We didn't know what had happened exactly, just that Jamaica was not safe. We went to the US Virgin Islands instead -- St. Thomas. Had a lovely time with no trouble whatsoever.


In my opinion...Jamica is still a problem area with a very high crime rate.  I wouldn't visit there, it is worse than it was in the early 90's by far.  Huge drug problem.  We have been on the island on cruises several times in the last 10 years an we always take a water excursion that lets us avoid any contact with the towns.    This is so sad because my first trip there, some 40 years ago is so filled with beautiful memories of great fun, new friends, and the most beautiful ocean beaches.  
Point is, word does get around and a reputation does linger.

That creep Merrywether or whatever his name that was involved in this Beth boycott (staged anti-Beth parade) has a whole lot of relatives on that island and many, many businesses and they are all tourism-dependent.  I hope his cake chokes him.

Since it is kind of slow, I have a quick question that is personal.  Have any of you had a Dobutamine stess echo?   I am concerned about the drug they administer and I am wondering about side effects.  Scheduled for tomorrow AM
