Just as I'm sitting here in my apartment complex... out my back sliding glass door, there is a 3 yo girl playing alone... no parents in site... I of course will keep my eye on her.  You should need a license to have children.  UGH!

I was thinking the same thing.  You need a license to cut hair but not raise a child?

WTH is wrong with parents these days??  Lovin you keep a good watchfull eye on that baby.  You are right, there should be a series of tests for all to have to take prior to having their new borns handed to them.

There is a tot across the street, down a few houses that wondered over to my house the other day. In his diaper none the less. I took him home and the mom thanked me and didn't act the least bit concerned.

I catch that baby out by himself again, I am calling CPS. I don't care if he is just in his front yard by himself.

Today is the 25th Anniversay of the day President Regan proclaimed to be National Missing Children's Day.  IMO, things have only gotten worse.  Too many young mothers (no, I am not bashing all young mothers), the internet, weak laws for sex offenders...what is going to take????
I do not think that the state of which our economy is in is much help either, though I know it is not a good excuse it seems that it has become and excuse for some so far.  Look at the mother in Albaquerque who burried her child in at the playground after smothering him.  I agree with what you have said MyTime.

Look at the rise in fathers taking out their whole families too...it's all so tragic.

Unimaginable.

Pink- absolutely, and I am horrified to hear that from you and Lovin.

Thank you for watching the little one, someone needs to. I am not sure it is the old attitude, "it will never happen to me" or what but I see this all of the time. The other day I was driving after picking up my 9 year old from school there was a little first grader walking by her self? WTH????

I can not imagine what is wrong with these parents.  When we first moved into our home here a few years ago, my hubs called the police on this Chevy S-10 that kept circling our street we live on.  Children are constantly playing up and down it and the driver of the S-10 was a middle aged male who was watching.....come to find out he was the security guard patrol (did get in trouble for not posting propper ID in his window), but still you never know!!

I've been screaming about that for years, you need a license to have kids, but that will never happen in a million years. I do the same thing, keep an eye on kids, that are running around unattended.

This is where Kennedy lives on Dixie.  There is a quarry across the street:

Also looks like a smaller quarry to the right, next to the body of water, closer to Kennedy's hotel on dixie:

I know this won't be the popular opinion but is there any chance the parent of the child is doing the same as you?  Keeping an eye out while trying to get a few things done while the child is playing quietly outside.  That being said.  Your a good person Lovinglife to keep an eye out and some people should definately have a license to be parents.
