They state that Easter was arrested this morning on unrelated charges and is being questioned regarding this case.  Crime scene techs comb thru boxes of evidence taken from Easter's home.  Tipster that lead the police to raid 64y.o. James Easter's home.  They are saying that Easter goes to Charlotte Arms on a regular basis to care for an older female...possibly a relative, possibly a family friend or girlfriend.  Duplex torn apart.  Arrested on complaints of arson.  Mom spoke...she doesn't want to be on cameras anymore because of how judgmental everyone has been to her and she is just sick of it.  She is keeping her head up and knows she will find her daughter.  As for Smith & Kennedy, sources say they could be cleared in this case soon.  Noon...yellow shirts and another search @ Kmarts!

Anything outside of a bar-b-que would be considered arson according to Websters it seems.

interesting Toler - I lived in the Toledo area from 03 to 08 and recall interesting ordinances on burning, trash pickup and such

Daily Police Briefing tomorrow at 11:00 (MI) time.

They will be out (volunteers) searching at Noon again tomorrow. Searchers are asked to meet at Kmart parking lot. Wear bug spray, the skeeters are fierce.

Rev. Dan, the pastor who is handling the search efforts/vigils is asking everyone who attends church in the morning to pray for Nevaeh.

No word on a vigil yet for tomorrow night. I will post more when I know.


ps. I am having connection problems at a lot of places this late afternoon/evening. (SM included) and twitter has been offline more than on. I blame Susan Boyle losing and the Wings winning. They broke the internets.

Thanks for all of the updates! I should just read the last page first, it would save me gray hairs! 4 pages since I read last. Seems like nothing is really new. they have the new guy in jail, but no charges of yet or that have to do with kidnapping. Kennedy and the other guy will be cleared, but the mom is happy about that considering she knows them.

Oh and susan boyle lost? I have to go read about that! I love her!

Good morning East Coast, good Evening West Coast!  I'm back from work.  Emergency tonight. . . Anyway, it seems like I got myself worked up a lot over nothing over there on the monroetalks site.  That place is a rumor mill--I should know better.  Everyone that reports anything says "i know X who knows Y and he heard from Z that . . ."  And some of the stuff is just ridiculously heartbreaking.  But the poster that talked about being at the vigil and hearing that the Easter episode was not related to Nevaeh seems to be pretty credible.  He may be a POI because he has a gf that lives at the apartment complex and apparently had illegal porn in his house.  So they'll be checking him out. From what I hear, they pretty much gutted his place.  But based upon how the locals described the guy, it doesn't seem to me that this is something he'd be able to pull off.  He's apparently quite the weirdo.

Anyway, last I heard LE packed up from the Easter house and are gone.  The arson charge is related to burning--you're not allowed to burn there.  No open fires.  They apparently took bags of evidence, but from what I'm hearing, it was thought to be illegal porn.  But it looks like at the really terrible stuff that was being said over there just isn't true. New searches are planned at the encouragement of law enforcement.
