moms said, and then she came down and told me Nevaeh was playing in the road with the scooter, so, I GOT UP and she wasn't there....
got up from the couch? got up from the potty? computer? got out of Bed???
She was probably sleeping. I could have sworn early on I thought mom was doing laundry, I'm assuming there's a laundry room on site, and she periodically checked on Nevaeh? It would be nice with people when their kid goes missing, they could actually stick to one story. This is what happened, period. Not come back with different stories.

Michigan was the first English speaking government, in 1846, to ban the death penalty. Since becoming a state in 1837, Michigan has had no executions.

Good luck in that effort, won't happen.

I am very confused. Michigan was the first "English" speaking goverment to ban the DP, but they were a state in 1837? What other states were in the US that didn't speak English? TIA JSM

i want to see her one last time..i want to make sure this is completely over..
quote Nevaeh's mom!!!!  make sure what is over?? the search?  the investigation?  her little life?  WHO SAYS THAT?

I think she means it is over in the fact she is in deed not alive, that is how I take it.
if it were your daughter, would that be your statement?

i don't know how to take it

I am not sure how to take your question, whether you are trying to be rude or simply asking me a question, so I will answer as you are just asking so let me say, considering I am blessed with my children still living, never have been kidnapped, I have no idea what I would say, or do and I pray to god it never happens to me, nor to another child ever. We can all imagine what we would do, what we would say, how we would react but we do not know. I hope that answers your question
not being rude...sorry.,,, if it were your child in this situation would that be your statement?  mine would be along the lines of Oh God?  WHY?  Who would do this??  not  i want to see (them) to make sure this is completely over.
i'm really not wanting to make waves, but would that be your statement?  i have a feeling not.

That part I don't know, I just know about the death penalty, and I see no way that it would be reinstated.

Banning the death penalty doesn't seem to have improved the neighborhood..

Cement

It could be the kind you put in the dry cement in and then pour water over it or I have seen workers dig a hole and mix cement in it, use the cement nearby and then pull out the cement edge at the dirt and throw it away. Sometimes it is just covered with dirt.

I seem to recall the laundry version too -- if one were speaking the truth the story would stay consistent

Thanks No Rose. I was confused about the English speaking part. If they abolished it in 1837, it ain't coming back now.

Michigan had the death penalty until 1835 - in 1828 Patrick Fitzpatrick was convicted and hung for a murder that in 1835 was admitted to by another man - in 1847 the first act of the legislator of Michigan was to ban the death penalty. Until that point, Michigan was a territory and was the first English speaking territory to ban the death penalty.

I know Mamacrazy. We are all just so frustrated by the seemingly non-movement in the case. Jennifer's responses have be skewed from the beginning, and her versions keep changing. I feel frustrated and hot-headed tonight myself. Sorry if I have contributed to the discord. I just hate the thought of Nevaeh's body being encased by cement on the marshy bank of a river. Much less, what she went through before that.   an angelic monkey

I agree with you, that was just plain stupid of her to make a comment like that, I can't figure it, I just know I would never make any comment even remotely like that.

I agree JB's reaction was not the norm.  The last sentence about this being over..well that is just so self centered to me.

I think we can't look at her (JB) as the average , poor, under educated mother...although she was.  But she was more..let's not forget this girl had drug use, burglary, home invasions..and taking her infant on  at least one crime with her.  She served jail time.  Got paroled..then hung out with RSO's.   This is one street savy b*tch..I am not buying anything about she just didn't know the danger, she just didn't know to watch her child...she knew more about criminal life first hand then the majority of our population.  I feel no sorrow for her in her loss.
