You are welcome.  I came across this forum earlier...there are a few people on here that just got back from searching...it is a local forum for Monroe.

Pleading for her

Close friend of Nevaeh's mother in

MONROE, Mich. - Sherry Buchanan is pleading for the safe return of her granddaughter Nevaeh Amyah Buchanan, the 5-year-old Monroe, Mich., girl who went missing Sunday evening from her parent's apartment complex.

"If anybody has her and she's still alive, just bring her back to me," Sherry said Tuesday. "That's all I ask of you, and I won't ask no questions. I just want to hold her and keep her near to me. And if she's not, let me lay her down and let her be peaceful with the good Lord up above."

The FBI, Michigan State Police, and the Detroit Violent Crimes Task Force have been brought in to assist in the disappearance.

Authorities said they have at least one person in custody. His name is George Kennedy, a 39-year-old close friend of Jennifer Buchanan - Nevaeh's mother.

Okay I'm back with not much to report.  Nothing happening anywhere that I saw...only two news vans at the complex....and after I turned around to go back to the complex one of the news vans was pulling out so I decided to follow him....he ended up getting on the highway back towards Toledo.

I saw several cops but only driving around town....one did pull over and start talking to some kids that were walking down the road.

Kmart had alot of cars in the lot but no news vans or police cars.  Nothing at Motel either.

I followed Michigan Ave. to find the pond....road was closed due to the bridge being out...a cop car had just turned down there though so I went a street over which also dead ends as Michigan does and there was nothing.

I did see people searching a creek across the street from the apartment complex.

Daddy's tent is still up (hope we dont get those storms!) and there were about a dozen people just standing around but I did not see him.

A fairly large river, River Raisin runs through Monroe...there were people walking on the banks of it but they looked like teenagers.  There also seemed to be a lot of teens walking the railroad tracks but not any LE.

The only place I didn't get to is the rail road tracks near Telegraph (got stuck by a train and didn't know the backroads).

I found it a little odd that there was not one helicopter either...though it was getting dark so that could be why.

I didn't take any pics since there wasn't really anything that we haven't seen.

Hoping this wont be necessary but tomorrow night, if I can get someone to cover me, I will go back up there but this time I would like to help search.

That's it -- sorry to keep ya'll in suspense for not really anything.
You did a fantastic job Leroy.  Thank you for your reports and glad you did not continue searching for the tracks near Telegraph and end up lost.  (Do not need to read about you in the news as the lurker)

Ok good to know its possible that it is his own.  Why would they not test it prior to releasing this sort of info?  What about the family who has to hear this crap and try to digest it.....confirm before covering in the media.

I'm praying so.  I used to fish a lot with my dad when I was a kid.  Our knife probably still has human blood on it.

Muffy I see you in here.  There is a monkey in Caylee's thread that wishes to post a new AMBER ALLERT.  I told her to post it there and that you always move it to its propper place.  TIA

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but how do you know by looking at a knife if it is human blood or animal blood, it could be animal blood, no?

There is a quick field test that can be done.

I asked my son about the blood on a fishing knife. He and his dad were avid fishermen. He said that sometimes his dad would cut himself, and he would put the knife in the tackle box to clean it later. Son didn't have a knife in his tackle box. Praying it's the perps blood. Bad news to try to sleep on.

I just do not see someone being so stupid to not atleast attempt to clean it off before keeping the weapon in their possession.
