Buchanan said investigators pulled the letter from her garbage after she ripped it up before sending it to Kennedy, who was in jail at the time. She said the letter said nothing about her daughter, or Kennedy spending time with her.

The police took a note out of the gargage that she wrote while he was in jail? In jail, like in the past week? I am confused on the time frame of when they knew eachother. I thought they met after he  was released from jail.

All I know is the police found a note she wrote to George, that was found in Buchanan's garbage can.

What can we do so children can survive having parents like this? Something needs to be done or we will spend the rest of our lives on this site. No offence, you all are awesome, but this subject is not one I want to spend the rest of my life thinking about. I don't want to think of another child  being raped and/or killed. We all know things need to change, we can't simply say it, we need to start doing something.

Should we start a thread and get the serious discussion started? This is going to be a huge effort and not one easily accepted. No one is going to want to listen to us. The ground work is  going to take some time and consideration. Lets do this today, lets start today.

that would be a great idea....there are other groups that have formed and have tried to get the word out...don't see why we can't either!

Let's do it.  Let's invite anyone who will listen.  Let's group with other groups.  This needs to big people--past attempts may have failed because they petered out after a while or weren't comprised of enough voices.  We don't have to have all the answers--we just need to demand action.  Everyone who votes "yes" to this needs to realize that it will take time and commitment and, at times, inconvenience.  But I am willing to sacrifice a part of me for this cause. I already have.  So I'm in for the long haul, as long as I am mentally, physically and financially able. . . We just need a viable plan and an organization.  I can even set up the organization and incorporate it and, hopefully, obtain charitable status.

I plan to request a meeting with a high-level government contact in my state to discuss this.  He's put together one of the finest and most effective child predator units in the country.  He's made it a big part of his administration.  I plan to meet with him to discuss how we can best accomplish what we want to accomplish so we can better direct our efforts and resources.

So, what say you?

Her standards seem to be rock bottom or she is just plain ignorant to what a SO is, how they work or what they are capible of.
In reading what she says about George, I can see he targeted this little girl  and pretty much did it in a typical fashion.  Buying her things  which the mom could not, showing her and the mom how much he wanted to be there etc...what a sick sob he is.

Officers search wooded area next to apartment complex

At least a dozen law enforcement officials on Friday afternoon were searching a wooded area next to the Monroe apartment complex where a young girl went missing nearly a week ago.

Monroe County Sheriff’s department deputies and other officials arrived in a SWAT team vehicle and started the search about 1:45 p.m. on Friday, according observers.

Two inmates from the Monroe County jail, who were wearing stripped jumpsuits, also arrived at the location to assist with the search.

Sheriff’s deputies were seen using rakes to canvas the wooded area and a sheriff’s department helicopter was also brought in to assist in searching the area next to the Charlotte Arms apartments were five-year-Nevaeh Buchanan was last seen playing in the parking lot on Sunday evening.

It is not known why the wooded area has become the target for searchers.
