TRIMM! I've seen that look on my cable guy's face one time after several days of having one repair man after another come and say they would have to send somebody else.  I got so exasperated I smacked my own self in the head with the spatula I was using to make a grilled cheese sandwich. My son backed up and the cable guy ran, saying someone would be out in a couple of days. Five minutes later there were TWO cable trucks pulled up and it was fixed in five minutes. I think I have a warning tag on my cable account in case any other repairs must be done. "DANGER, CRAZY WOMAN LIVES HERE!!!" My son calls me the "Spatula Lady" now. 

Glad you got it fixed and are enjoying some cold ones. If I don't quit making spelling, name and gramatical errors today, I may go back to the booze in the blender route.   

The repair guys should start listening to us.It's frustrating.
We know we are crazy,they better Recognize and deal with it.     

I'm so glad you got it fixed Trimm, the same thing happened here last week.  We just realized last night that our theatre room components were taken out too.  No sound through the television, surround sound is fried also, and 2 dvd players went out!  This all happened through the cable wires!!!

Today I woke up to a not-so-cold house, called husband home (I don't know why I actually did that part - that's not me).  He called the AC guy on the way here - he will be out tomorrow.  I was about to fling monkey poo at someone.


Now I am really feeling stupid. The batteries were dead in the thermostat.[/size]

That sounds like something that would happen to me.   
It's been something every few days here.When my internet  get messed up I get ill.
Finished up on plumbing project.Our air is out upstairs so that's the next project.I like to work on things,,,but I don't need a boss.   
I told hubby he had to get well and go back to work.He is jinxing stuff around here.

Mytime, ELuxery has a Vuitton Diaper Bag.  I dont know if it is the one Dolce bought and I cannot reach her because she is ill right now.  I will keep looking.  By the way, I have never bought anything from this site and dont know anything about it!!!

Personally, rather than spending $1500 on a diaper bag I'd rather put the money into a college fund for my baby...but that's me.  Keeping in mind my idea of a decent purse is any one I can get for under $25

69 with a cool breeze and that's the warmest it's been today.  I have been working outside almost all day today and was cold!

   Oh, I am moving there.  Could you please send me a list of any homes for sale.  Wouldn't you just love having me and PT as neighbors?   

There is a completely gutted home for sale not far from us that was tied up in litigation for years.  There is no roof, walls or windows, all have been removed.  So it's basically a lot you are paying for and the asking price is $500,000 

Location, location, location.

 

Well that would rule me out. I hate to remodel.  I even hate to remodel more when I have to live through it. 

But PT has been offered a very good "job/position" in Southern California. We couldn't go before because of my MOM....but lately they have been uping the offer. 

Of course, my kids do not want to move so that plays a big factor in it.

I feel for you guys, I really do.  It has been absolutely beautiful here in OH the last week or so.  Upper 70's and sunny but not too hot.  Just right.  I guess it's just payback for all the snow, ice & cold we get Nov-March. 

I'm like Klaas that I hate the hot. 

I remember my dad talking about being in bootcamp in MS or LA, I can't remember which.  He said you'd launder your clothes and they'd never dry with all the humidity.  He absolutely hated it, rest his soul.

Mytime - email me and let me know where he's been offered the job and I can tell you what the area is like.  Just like everywhere there are good areas of Southern California and bad areas.

Hi Muffybee, Klaas, Trimm & MyTime-

I was laughing truly about the echo, I never take it personally  The deer were having such a party tonight that walking big Red was more like him dragging me while leaping after the deer!

MyTime, I think CA is such a beautiful state and whether PT takes the job or not, it's wonderful he's in such demand. I know so many wonderfully talented professionals who can't find a job right now. I remodeled my first two homes and I agree with you, my last two have been brand new. I think I don't have a labor of love project in me at this phase of my life. Plus life with kids is just sooooo busy.

It's a tough decision to move kids, I moved mine just two states away when they were 14 and 11 and it was hard on them.

Decisions........decisions........never easy.
