Quote
Muffy, you are right. People are generally good and caring and the sad thing is she depended on their compassion to keep her ruse going. She knew her "audience".
I have no idea what would make a person be deceitful like this, something lacking in their own life, I suppose. Very sad.
I would imagine that the ones that felt compassion for her are now quite jaded.

I think you hit the nail on the head, art.  "She knew her "audience".  And she played to them.  Had them eating out of her hand.  A power trip, maybe?  She must have enjoyed knowing she had everyone fooled, at least for a time.  Did she feel superior?  I mean, just think about it.  She had a lot of people fooled.  Riding so high she forgot it had to end.

I agree, these kind of people love the power, as well as the attention.  If living a delusional life makes them feel powerful, I would rather just stay powerless.

I agree, they are looking for power and attention.  How powerful are they really?  The power they feel is only a delusion.  A serious problem that will stem from this is people are not going to believe the next person who asks for help.  It would be awful if she eventually wanted to have a child and had a baby with a problem.  Karma is a bitch and life has a way of turning the tables on you.

Once she found out how invested people were in it, she should have come clean.  Liars eventually get found out.  No matter what her character is like in real life, she will always be remembered as a liar and a scammer.  Try putting that on your resume.  Was that 15 minutes of fame worth it?  I think not.

My household just grew by about 40 babies - Little Miss Molly has been busy again.

Does Miss Molly have a smile on her face?

I hear there is a woman named Zanny who is out of work, is MM looking for a Nanny?

Mini Mytime already like dressing up in mommies clothes

Then she needs t-shirts, shorts and lots of pajamas.

Accessories daw-ling.  She needs accessories...

Is a laptop an accessory?

I suppose it could be an accessory. Especially if it's one of those little tablets.  Hubby got one for $250.00 last week.  So yeah, it could be an accessory.  Some purses cost that much and more.

Wow!!!  Can I borrow him to go shopping?

That could be her middle name.  She can be Bearycute Minitime.

Hi Monkeys!!

I was in a deep sleep when awoken by the news of the birth of Mytimes Mini Time.    You certainly hide your pregnancies well Mytime.  Here we were celebrating your stardom when behind the scenes you were expecting so much more.

All I can say is she is beautiful and Congratulations to you and PT.  Now I am an Aunt again.

Aren't you glad you glad there was no barking!

aaaawwww!!  Thank you!! She is such a little sweetie too.

Can you imagine what my next surprise is going to be?

How old is she Mytime?   How much does she weigh??  Are you breast feeding???

She is 2 days old, she weighs 7.2 oz, 18" long and of course I am!!

Are they loaners from Rentabewb?

7.2 oz. and 18 inches long????

Did you give birth to a pencil?

And here I thought number 2 meant something different entirely.

I have some great news I want to celebrate with you guys!

My Mom's house (where my son lives) was robbed in broad daylight Tuesday ( no, that's not the great news ). They broke in with a crowbar and TOTALLY ransacked the house. Among the things missng was some jewelry that was very precious to me and my son. Mom had made a gold nugget pendant for me from Dad's wedding ring, My grandmother's wedding ring, and my great grandmother's wedding ring. After Mom died, I placed it on a heavier chain and gave it to my son. It was stolen along with my son's College ring, Dad's masonic ring, etc.

I made up flyers and put them in all the neighbor's mailboxes hopin someone had seen something, and started combing pawn shops. Today I called jewelers who accepted scrap gold.................... and guess what? Son's college ring, the chain he pendant was on, a cross and Dad's ring had been sold this morning and they still had the articles. The gold nugget wasn't there, BUT the GIRL who brought the stuff in was videotaped, and she had already cashed the check, so the bank should also have her picture. She showed her driver's license ( if not fake ) and so I have high hopes I'll be able to get the pendant back. They also took TV and such, but I'd give it all for that pendant!

There's a week-end flea market tomorrow and I'll be there, too! I never thought I'd see any of it again, and I'm so grateful there's a chance, I think a good chance, I'll be able to restore the faith Mom gave me when she gave it to me, and my son has felt so bad over it. Keep your fngers crossed and maybe say a little prayer?  Thanks, Monkeys!

Glad your son wasn't home when it happened.  You still have the most important treasure in the house, thank God.

an angelic monkey an angelic monkey an angelic monkey

I am so sorry this happened to you and your son.  You must feel so violated.  Did you get to see the girl's picture?  Do you know her?
