Long day Trim, lol this hour..
I knew you got really busy.Keep up the good work!
You and all the Blinkers never cease to amaze me.  I like being amazed.

On this one the Tenacious duo of Rachael George and Chris's GF are the amazing ones.

If not for them,  Chris would not have been found, imo.

No, there is no official confirmation and I feel pretty comfortable they will not be making a tentative ID, prior to testing, but I feel strongly this is Chris.

With this tip comes a finger pointer, wonder who it is pointing at right now?

Crews Look To Lake In Search For Missing
Police Continue To Comb Apopka Area
POSTED: 5:46 am EST February 23, 2011
UPDATED: 11:26 am EST February 23, 2011

Video Report at link.
APOPKA, Fla. -- Searchers will return to Apopka Wednesday after police there confirmed they found human remains in area where they once searched for Christopher George.
Crews drained Lake Carter overnight so searchers can look for more evidence Wednesday in the area they combed Tuesday after a bone was found there earlier in the week.

Police said the evidence they have uncovered could be important in the cases of two missing people.

"Human remains have been found at Lake Carter," Apopka Police Department spokesman Steve Popp said.

Police said they could not confirm if the bones belonged to a man or woman or if the find only constituted one set of remains.

The remains were found just yards from where George's truck was found abandoned two years ago.

Apopka police, FDLE agents find more bones on third day of search
Local news agencies report that remains include a human skull.By Bianca Prieto and Walter Pacheco, Orlando Sentinel
11:50 a.m. EST, February 23, 2011

Local news agencies are reporting that officials draining Lake Carter this morning recovered a human skull and other bones during their search for missing person Onda "Chris" George.

Officials with the Apopka Police Department have not confirmed that discovery, but they are set to hold a press conference before noon.

Rachael George, the missing man's mother, said Tuesday's discovery of two human bones in the area is a positive sign that her search for her soon could be over.

"I feel better about the investigation because something is happening," she said this morning.

Liz Ocasio, the mother of missing Ocoee resident Tracy Ocasio, also is at Lake Carter to lend her support. The two women have formed a bond because both their children were last seen with James Hataway, a suspect in their disappearances.

"Our worst fear is that it's going to be some random person we don't even know about," Ocasio said about the remains found over the last three days. "We want to bring our children home, give them a proper burial and lock [Hataway] up for the rest of his life."

Apopka police Capt. Jerome Miller this morning said officials have seen other bones sticking out of the muddy water, but they have not disturbed them until the pumps successfully drain more water from the lake.

Police and Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents are continuing their recovery efforts at the lake, near Ocoee-Apopka and Keene roads. Cadaver dogs are sniffing through drained portions of the lake.

Investigators: Bones Visible In Lake Being Searched
Posted: 12:30 pm EST February 23, 2011Updated: 12:41 pm EST February 23, 2011

APOPKA, Fla. -- More bones were spotted Wednesday in a search for clues in Orange County in two missing person cases. Investigators began a third day of searching a lake near Apopka in Orange County on Wednesday morning.
Tuesday, investigators confirmed human bones were found in Lake Carter (see map), and more bones were spotted Wednesday. Chris George was last seen in the area with James Hataway in 2009; Hataway is also a suspect in the disappearance of Tracy Ocasio from Ocoee.

Investigators were sifting through the area Wednesday that they cleared overnight. They've been able to see bones sticking up that they haven't been able to get to yet, because they don't want to disturb the crime scene.

For the second day in a row, two mothers gathered at the site where investigators found bones, and spotted more bones Wednesday morning.

"It's kind of a connection and just to see what's going on on the turf," Rachael George told WFTV.

Liz Ocasio and Rachael George are wondering if the bones belong to their missing children. They are at the site where Chris George was last seen alive with Hataway.

"The main part is to keep this man off the streets and away from decent people, because he doesn't deserve to be out in public," Liz Ocasio told WFTV.

There is something to be said for being out here and seeing the activity," Rachael George said.

George is waiting for answers. The bone found Monday and additional remains found Tuesday are just yards from where her son's abandoned truck was found two years ago.

George doesn't believe her son, Christopher George, is still alive, but she wants confirmation of what's there.

"I'm not ready for that meltdown just yet," Rachael George said. "It will come, and I won't avoid it."
"I'm holding up OK," Liz Ocasio said. "I try not to think it's Tracy out there yet."

Ocasio is the mother of another missing person. Tracy Ocasio vanished 21 months ago. Ocasio and George have a tight bond.

"Being friends with her has really helped because others can say they know what you're going through. Well, not really, but she knows exactly what I'm feeling," Liz Ocasio said.

Reports at the scene indicated a skull was found, but police wouldn't confirm it.

"I got no confirmation one way or the other from the people on the ground, doing the sifting and who will be doing the collection, and they didn't tell me about any skull," Apopka Police Department Capt. Jerome Miller said.

Apopka police, FDLE agents to resume search for bones tomorrow

By Bianca Prieto and Walter Pacheco, Orlando Sentinel

3:55 p.m. EST, February 23, 2011

Law enforcement officials have concluded their search for the day at Lake Carter, where they have been looking for more human remains in the case of missing person Onda "Chris" George.

"We are in this for the long haul," said Apopka police spokesman Officer Steve Popp, who said authorities will continue to drain the lake and resume their search in the morning.

Earlier in the day, local news agencies reported that officials draining Lake Carter overnight recovered a human skull and other bones during their search.

Popp said at a press conference this afternoon that investigators "at this point will not elaborate as far as what type of bone or kinds of bones" were collected.

While police would not confirm finding a skull, video footage shot by a local news agency chopper shows what appears to be a skull in the shallow water.

On Monday, detectives bone fragments believed to be part of a human spine, though the gender was unkown.   A day later, a human skull was uncovered after the water had receded, and on Wednesday, detectives found part of a cell phone and articles of clothing along with additional human remains, including a femur.

Police draining lake where bones were found

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The search continues Wednesday at a lake in South Apopka where human bones were found two days ago. Pumps are still draining the Lake Carter and police are guarding the area, keeping anyone from going near the scene.

On Monday, detectives bone fragments believed to be part of a human spine, though the gender was unkown.   A day later, a human skull was uncovered after the water had receded, and on Wednesday, detectives found part of a cell phone and articles of clothing along with additional human remains, including a femur.

Investigators worked through the day pumping water out of the lake so they can begin the process of removing the evidence.  Officer Steve Popp, with the Apopka Police Department, told reporters, "Nothing has been removed from the lake at this point. As I said evidence is the top priority. We are taking this as a methodical approach. There is no hurry."

The draining will take a least another day and removing evidence will take them at least into the weekend.

Investigators told us, there was no trauma to the skull at first glance. It is still unclear if there is more than one body in the lake bed and the identity will not be confirmed until additional lab tests can be conducted.

Investigators say they think this is just one person's remains, but aded that they have been focused on just one area and have not surveyed the entire lake.

Apopka police, FDLE agents to resume search for bones tomorrow
February 23, 2011

Human bones remained underwater at Apopka's Lake Carter after problems with a water pump prevented further evidence recovery Wednesday afternoon.

Orange County Sheriff's Office crime-scene investigators joined Apopka detectives and Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents Wednesday in an effort to recover bones just below the water's surface.

Police spokesman Officer Steven Popp said the recovery effort was stymied overnight when water that was supposed to be draining out of the lake began flowing back in.

"We are in this for the long haul," Popp said, adding authorities will continue to drain the lake overnight and resume their search first thing Thursday morning.

Suspect in Ocasio case heads to court

The man suspected in the disappearance of Tracy Ocasio has a pre-trial appearance Thursday. James Hataway, 30, is ordered to stand trial for attempted murder next Monday.
The victim in this case is a young woman who gave Hataway a ride home in August 2008.
"He tried to start breaking my neck," said Rachel Clarke during an interview in 2009. "I slipped out of it, and he started strangling me.
I got out of my car, and I started running down the street.

James Hataway due in court this morning in attempted murder case unrelated to Tracy Ocasio
He could go on trial next week, charged with trying to kill a woman in Casselberry
By Rene Stutzman, Orlando Sentinel

Defense attorney Jeff Leukel is not happy with the trial's timing. He's already convinced McIntosh to bar prosecutors from saying anything to jurors about the Ocasio case, but this week Apopka police have found human bones near a lake where Onda "Chris" George, a Hataway friend, disappeared in February 2009 after partying with Hataway.

Also, the Ocasio case is to be featured tonight by TV journalist Nancy Grace.

Ocasio, 27, disappeared in May 2009. She was last seen leaving a MetroWest bar with Hataway. Ocoee police call him a suspect in the disappearance, but he has not been charged.

He's told authorities he doesn't know what happened to Ocasio.

Leukel said he would not ask for a delay. He said attorneys will try to pick a jury in Sanford, but if too many people in the jury pool have read news accounts or watched newscasts about the Ocasio and George cases, the trial may need to be moved.

Amid Bones Search, New Person Of Interest Emerges
Posted: 4:41 pm EST February 23, 2011Updated: 6:10 pm EST February 23, 2011

Video at link
 ::snipping2::
WFTV has learned investigators are also looking at Tyler Watters as a person of interest in Chris George's disappearance. He's a young man with a criminal history that includes an arrest for drug trafficking. He was also at the site with George and Hataway, but has recently refused to talk to investigators.

"I still want what is happening to be investigated well," Rachael George, Chris' mother, said (watch interview).

A crime website quoting an unnamed investigator also claims a cell phone was found during the search that is the same kind Chris George last had in his possession, but at this point investigators say they don't want to talk about that; nor will they talk about the skull.

"Why wouldn't that be something you would want to reveal?" WFTV reporter Jeff Deal asked investigators regarding the skull.

"It's just too early on," Capt. Jerome Miller said.

The medical examiner will determine cause of death, and then the bones will be tested for DNA to see if they can match.

WFTV talked to Tyler Watters' attorney late Wednesday afternoon. He said his client hasn't been contacted recently, but would probably be willing to speak to investigators again.

WFTV also talked with the woman who has a young daughter with James Hataway. She did not want to reveal her name, but said Hataway talked to her about Chris George's disappearance shortly after he became a possible suspect in the Ocasio and George disappearances.
The woman told WFTV that Hataway helped George get rid of drugs after he crashed while driving drunk.

"He just told me he got into a car accident and Jimmy said that he was called to go out there and help him remove stuff from the vehicle, and I think he said he went on along his way," she said.

The woman also said Hataway missed his visitation with his daughter, just days after Ocasio disappeared, without giving any explanation.

Although James Hataway is the prime suspect in the disappearances, it's another case that's keeping him locked up. He's charged with attempted murder, accused of choking a Casselberry woman after she gave him a ride home in 2008.

Hataway has been in jail for nearly two years already on that charge. A trial date could be set Thursday when the case goes back to court.

I appreciate everyone keeping up with the updates in Chris's case, the family asked me to say thank you for your support.

Just to clarify a few things, the msm is reporting a great deal incorrectly in this case.

Jimmy Hataway was NOT with Chris George when he was last seen, Tyler Watters was.

A friend of his and neighbor, Adam Vied, is said to have produced the tip, as a proffer for his sentencing in drug charges.

While I think it is possible/probable that Hataway is involved in some capacity, it has been verified he was not with Watters and Chris until following Chris's disappearance.

I am somewhat dismayed at the lack of responsibility of msm on this one, specifically, I can tell you as a point of fact that the recovery of the skull and femur, which I was aware of, was released PRIOR to the family being told.

That is just wrong, imo.

Thanks for the vent, this family has been through the ringer and back and I would sincerely like for them to come first, before "scoopworthy" information.
