Would a mod mind fixing the post of the CBS video? It keeps playing when you hit on the page.

Thanks

I agree Tracygirl.  Amber got short changed.  IIRC most of the searches were funded privately.  I'm going to report to mod about the CBS video.  I'm sorry about that.

Pg 257 #13th from the top.  San Diego zip code.

If this guy has anything to do with Amber's disappearance and he was working on a construction crew at EHS as an electrician, I'm afraid Edward's head will explode.

Just kind of speaking off of the cuff because there are so many unknowns in this situation but I've worked for a builder who subcontracts with electricians.  They pretty much make up their own hours and not to a set schedule.  Not much accountability of being at a certain place at a certain time, from personal experience anyway.

Well, I've monopolized enough of this thread today.  Back to work.

Thanks Klaas and no problem Lovin.

If JAG is a self employed electrician he would have to have a utility van or work truck or have access to one if he wants to carry ladders and equipment. I have yet to meet an electrician that carries ladders in a car. If he was in a vehical such as this and lets say there is a sticker on the sideo of the van/truck saying "Gardner the electrician guy" (made up name) and he is parked along broadway with all of the other construction trucks would that stand out? I think not.
Also do we know if he was subbed out to help with the school construction? I have posted before, a sub is not researched and cleared through a school. A sub is hired by another company to complete a job or part of a job. That first company is checked out, it is up to that company to insured a person is cleared. Most times it just goes to the lowest bidder and they don't check. I have a business which subs out certain parts of a job, I check each person I send out or set up to work in a home, business or school, again not everyone does. I hope LE is checking on this.

A cigarette butt was found close by Chelsea's underware that probably was tested for DNA and matched JAG. When other girls are abducted or possible abduction why does no one look for cigarette butts. I would bet 80% of SO's smoke and while they are lurking around parks and schools they've got to be smoking like crazy to keep them calm before they attack. If we checked cigarette butts in the locations of abductions I bet we would hit on SO's a good percent of the time.

Armchair do you recall the attempted by a man driving a small white truck with ladders? It was recently I think. What was the description of the man?

BTW I think they are supposed to check for cigarette butts, I wonder if LE did that.

Another girl missing just 27 miles from Escondido. Temecula, missing from a High School.

http://www.nctimes.com/news/local/temecula/5e40da73-43e1-5881-b24a-0e2b53ae59fe.html

I'm begining to believe our perp may work for a tow truck company. Amber was abducted on a rainy day. Today it's raining, the wind is blowing and their are tow truck everywhere.

Bump* in light of Gardners arrest I am bringing this forward again. Has this girl been found?

John Gardner Being Investigated In At Least 3 Other Incidents
Sex Offender John Gardner Accused In Death Of 17-Year-Old Chelsea King

POSTED: 7:00 am PST March 4, 2010
UPDATED: 7:16 am PST March 4, 2010

SAN DIEGO -- A registered sex offender accused of murdering Poway High senior Chelsea King was reported Thursday to match the description of a man seen stalking a 13-year-old girl on the same day and in the same community where Chelsea disappeared.

San Diego police received a report a week ago Thursday about a man in a black sedan following a 13-year-old girl as she walked near Bernardo Heights Middle School in Rancho Bernardo,.

A black sedan frequently seen parked in front of John Albert Gardner III's mother's townhouse in Rancho Bernardo has since been towed away by police, according to the news station.

Gardner also bears a striking resemblance to a composite sketch of a suspect in an attempted abduction of a girl less than four miles from his residence in Lake Elsinore last October.

The Press-Enterprise in Riverside reported that the girl was walking to a friend's house when she was approached by a man driving a sedan. After a brief conversation, the man showed the girl a gun and demanded she get inside his car, but she refused and ran, according to the newspaper.

Local authorities say they also are investigating whether Gardner might be responsible for the February 2009 disappearance of Escondido High School freshman Amber Dubois, who was 14 when she vanished while walking to campus.

Gardner, 30, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to murdering 17-year-old Chelsea, who vanished last Thursday after she went for an after-school run at Rancho Bernardo Community Park.

In addition to murder, Gardner was charged with assault with the intent to commit rape for an attack on another woman in the same park last December, according to District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis.

The murder charge includes a sentence-enhancing allegation of murder during the commission of a rape or attempted rape.

The defendant could face the death penalty if convicted. A decision on what penalty Gardner will face will be determined after the preliminary hearing.

Gardner -- who is being held without bail in solitary confinement in a downtown jail cell -- was ordered back to court Tuesday, and a preliminary hearing was tentatively scheduled for March 18.

According to public records, Gardner was convicted of assaulting and molesting a girl in 2000. The victim, a 13-year-old neighbor, said he repeatedly punched her in the face and fondled her at his mother's townhouse, which is about a mile from Rancho Bernardo Community Park.

The girl said she went to the residence after Gardner invited her in to watch a movie.

Gardner was sentenced to six years in prison and served five before he was released in September 2005. He was on probation until 2008.

He registered as a sex offender using his grandmother's Lake Elsinore address but reportedly had been staying with his mother lately.

Dr. Matthew Carroll, a psychiatrist who interviewed Gardner following the 2000 assault, described him as "callous" and lacking remorse, making him "an extremely poor candidate for any sexual offender treatment," according to court records.

"It is my opinion that (Gardner) would be a continued danger to underage girls in the community," Carroll wrote as he recommended the maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

A memorandum from the District Attorney's Office said prosecutors asked for a six-year sentence to resolve the case without a trial and to spare the victim from testifying.Copyright 2010 by City News Service. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or

HLN covering this now.  Jean Casaris has talked to LE and asked if any of Amber's clothing found and she says they hemmed and hawed.

I know on the Chelsea's tread that they say we should not be blaming the parents for what the son has done. But, I can not believe with all the warning signs (attempted abductions in the area, Amber's disappearance and news coverage about all) that she did not suspect something! Come on..... unless she is so self absorbed that she can't see beyond her own accomplishments....... she did not know something. If she paid any attention to him he would have done something that would make her question his attitudes, bloody nose possible scratch marks and questionable behaviour. If she had said just one time that she suspected strange behaviour he could have been stopped sooner. I think his mothers house is the key to his abductions.  JMO

I also think there is a good possibility that Amber is somewhere in Lake Hodges. If he was watching the house for his mother. She and her husband could have been gone for the Valentines weekend and left him to stay at the house.

I hope they question the girlfriend with the twins. She could really help in the whereabouts of this guy. Has anyone tried to search for a birth cirt on the twins with a last name of Gardner?

I just can't shake the feeling that with a bad guy like this there has to be some level of enabling on the part of those around him.  Sorry, but I really get this feeling.  Somebody in his family had to be suspicious of  his actions.

Grandma is speaking very bluntly regarding LE, good for her.

She said she is appauled he was not looked into further when Amber went missing

She is also appauled we are not using more technical means to track the RSO. They are talking about tracking devises.

Per JVM's show. She showed a clip from a morning show, moe Dubois sent out a message to Amber telling her if she could hear him to stay strong...I pray she can hear them and is being help captive, I hope to God that is true. This needs to be ruled out though, I hope they seriously advocate for LE to look for a non living Amber. If she is not alive, she deserves a respectful and beautiful burial.
I really want to be wrong, I hope everyone realizes that. I don't want Amber to be not alive..I really hope she is found somewhere and this has a happy ending.
