Thank Tracygirl

You think the school would have more cameras in more locations... with better quality... frustrating.

Dubois Family Publicist Upset With Response From Authorities
Michelle Bart Feels Police Dismissed Results Of Search Dogs

POSTED: 7:08 pm PST March

SAN DIEGO -- After the announcement Sunday afternoon that the remains of 14-year-old Escondido teen Amber Dubois were located in Pala, 10News spoke with the publicist hired by Amber's grandmother about the dogs the family brought out to search for the teen last year and the positive hit they received on the Pala reservation.

Publicist Michelle Bart was noticeably upset in her interview with 10News' Itica Milanes. Bart broke into tears when describing the frustration she felt dealing with Escondido police.

The dogs brought to locate Amber in August of 2009, were scent dogs with special training for cold cases.

10News reporter Steve Fiorina spoke with the veteran dog handlers who told him that they'd found clues on cases where the person had been missing longer than Amber Dubois had been at that point.

The two dogs, Jack, a German shorthaired pointer, and Quincy, a yellow labrador retriever, were each trained to track an old scent but with different specialties.

"Jack is a very air-sensitive dog," dog handler Sarah Platts said. "Quincy is detail oriented."

"As a family, we decided to try anything we can," Moe Dubois, Amber's father, said.

"Its been very difficult because we know that back in August those dogs hit on Pala," the publicist, who worked closely with the family, told Milanes Sunday.

"Two dogs hit on particular things," she said, "the handlers knew nothing about the case... We said there's no doubt in our minds, we'll go to our death beds knowing that Amber's been here."

But Bart said the officer assigned to their search didn't seem interested. "The officer that was with us didn't do anything, he kept quiet the whole time just like he was our escort," she said.

"It was unbelievable, just unbelievable," she said. "When the police came out and told all of you in the media that the dogs didn't hit on anything, nothing was found... my heart has been dropping because we could not say anything."

Bart said she was assured by authorities that Escondido police and other law enforcement were going to look into the area in Pala where the dogs responded. "We gave our reports to cops that patronized us," she said.

Interesting sidebar note to this horror, this same Michelle Bart from the Anthony case ? if so she bought & put forward on behalf of the Anthonys that  those dogs were wrong regarding Casey's car & the Anthony backyard....things that make you go hmmm.     While I am thoroughly & completely livid with how JAG was let out to strike repetitively & moreover not caught even before Amber's murder by LE, these cases just don't need people like Bart inserting themselves into these cases for face time and a buck.

I just read the news after watching the Oscars, this is no coincidence I felt it as soon as Chelsea was reporting missing in that area, then seeing this monsters record sealed it for me.   I got the sense from Amber's father during his presser after Chelsea was found that he knew this was the fate Amber was tortured through by this same monster.   I am just absolutely disgusted how the justice system failed these two very young girls (probably more).    O sigh, not how I expected to feel after watching glitz & glam all day & night.

If I take a look at the picture with the police car and the two articles that give a location of north of Pala Mission on Pala Temecula Rd, this is the only tree that fits the one in the image.  It is at the intersection of Arouba Rd and Temecua Rd. This is my guess with what info we have tonight.

Michelle Bart should have leaked it, I would have. This is important for the public to know, what if someone saw something but didn't know they saw it? This is why in my opinion LE is wrong about not using the publics help.

I am curious about this person that told LE about where to find amber. How would they know? Maybe they did see him around that area at that time and didn't realize it? Maybe he talked to someone? maybe like his doctor or who ever counsels him? Maybe his girl friend? Mommy dearest finally felt she should no longer cover for her son?

Yes Capp it is the same Bart who said in the Anthony case that the dogs did not know the difference between rotting pizza and a body, and then more recently in her radio show that the Coroner could not tell if the remains were that of a boy or girl and that Caylee is still alive which means Cindy is wearing someone elses ashes in her urn jewlery.

This is no coincidence.  It is someone who feels they are safe now that JAG is in custody that has finally come forward IMO.

They screwed up on the Crowe case, and now they screwed up on this case IMHO.

Can you imagine, flying in special dogs who hit on an area and the police do not take it seriously???

So saddened by this news. Once again, I gather round the monkeys, only to be, yet again, sickened to my stomach. I'm sorry for what Amber and her family have to go through. It needs to stop. The line was crossed long ago. We do not stand for murder or abuse of any kind on children. It needs to stop. I agree, one strike and you're out. I'm an animal lover and I know you have to have a good heart to love and care for them. I know Amber loved animals. She was truly a kind hearted human being. I am sorry to her family and everyone who knew her.

Here is an article on the little girl they found in this area back in 1989 in case anyone is interested. I am trying to find if this was ever solved, not sure. Anyone know?

I am off to bed, it has been a long day and I am seeing double. Prayers tonight go out to Ambers family and friends.

Skeletal remains of Amber Dubois found, investigation continues

FOX 5 San Diego Staff

10:50 PM PST, March 7, 2010

PALA, Calif. - A locked steel gate separates the public roadway from the area where Amber Dubois's skeletal remains were discovered Saturday in Pala. Beyond the gate is a private road where the investigation continues for any clues to who is responsible.

Investigators identified her remains Sunday afternoon in a press conference in Escondido, but wouldn't give any additional details about how they found them or what lead them in this direction.

The area that's blocked off by police tape sits on a winding road just five miles north of the Pala Casino. Sheriff's deputies at the scene described the area as a remote and desolate part in the outskirts of San Diego County.

The community has been following the missing Escondido teen's case from the day she disappeared February 13th, 2009. Some people even made their way to the crime scene.

"We want to show the area where Amber's remains were found," Stacey Humphrey said as she stood near the scene where authorities discovered the skeletal remains of Amber. "Sheriff's deputies have put up this yellow tape and it's down this private road in a rural and desolate area where Amber's skeletal remains were found."

Dave Linstrom expressed his feelings, "Ughhhh, I kinda feel sick about it you know I was just hoping she was still alive, you know you just keep it in the back of your head."

"It's good for the mom, the dad and the grandma and everybody involved to be able to put it to rest. It's terrible; but to live with the unknown I think would be worse."

The deputies at the Pala scene told Fox 5 News that they are expected to be investigating the area through Monday.

feel after watching glitz & glam all day & night.

I hope they waterboarded Garder for Amber's location. I would have. That being said...

I have said this before and I will say it again, pedophilia is also a rich man's sordid crime, and only when the papparazzi go after them will we the ppl get a handle on this epidemic of child rape and murder, child porn, that feeds a global industry of child trafficking.

When the power base wants to tie the hands of the local police, they can do so. And there's hardly anything the local cops can do.  LE dragging it's heels? You bet a big reason is understaffing, etc. But, the is another pattern clear as day, and that pattern has to do with e.g., the coincidence of Amber's remains found right after that long, long pedophile Gardner, (alleged) murderer rapist of Chelsea King, raping away since high schoool, let out of one rape after another,  then living next door to another pedophile, and 1-2 blocks from 11 others, gotta ask which conencted pedo porn ring they're feeding. Same reason the (in his collegue's opinion too) the totally unethical Behar will get Cantu's murderer (alleged) off the hook - very big pedo rings ALL. All protected. It's scum like this that we're gonna keep Gitmo open for also.

Want to stop this? Want to stop the Amber's and Chelsea's.... Everyone sez yes, then kick the darn cowardly "media" in their butts to go after the wealthy who keep a global industry of kiddieporn and child trafficking more lucrative than narco-terrorism.

if JAG ever attended those AA meetings at the church on Broadway between 7-8 am

Just a little detective work..
Go to the meeting place and ask the leader of that meeting if Gardner ever attended.
But before you do.. Did he ever have a conviction for alcohol abuse ? Becaise I would think that is how you get a ticket to go to such meetings.

A ticket?

Well, you don't get a ticket per se = as a member of AA for almost 5 years I would say about 1/5th of our membership comes as a result of drinking and driving or other alcohol offense. Most of us go just because we come to the conclusion we have a problem.  I also saw a comment about Bi polar and self medicating. This is not as true as the rest of the world would like to believe - most alcoholics that come into AA with diagnosis of BiPolar have that changed when they get sober. Unfortunately, alcohol often makes one act bipolar - that being said, some bipolars do self medicate.

Bipolar disorder and alcoholism commonly co–occur. Multiple explanations for the relationship between these conditions have been proposed, but this relationship remains poorly understood.

Both must be treated
Over half of people with bipolar disorder suffer from alcoholism, alcohol abuse or drug abuse; this dynamic is called dual diagnosis. Read how each disorder requires treatment.

Best practice is simultaneous treatment
The research on alcoholism, or alcohol or other drug abuse, and bipolar disorder says treating both at the same time is most effective.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse
It is generally believed that 30% to 60% of those with bipolar disorder (manic depression) also struggle with alcoholism or substance abuse perhaps in an attempt to self-medicate.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/200305/alcoholism-and-bipolar-disorder
Alcoholism and Bipolar Disorder
The temptation to have just one more drink may be too great for women with bipolar disorder. Research has found that they are seven times more likely to suffer from alcoholism than other women. Bipolar men are at risk too; they are three times more likely to suffer from alcoholism than other men.

The worry, experts note, is that these patients try to self-medicate themselves by drinking too much. To understand the drinking problems of bipolar patients, Mark Frye and researchers from the University of California at Los Angeles examined 267 outpatients enrolled in the Stanley Foundation Bipolar Network.
******************************************************

There are many many more articles to support my position and that of the Psychologists and Psychiatrists I talked to about it.  I had done a lot of research on this topic.  I would be very interested in the research that supports your conclusion as I am have read a lot on this topic as it pertains to a dear friend of mine.  Thank you.

JAG also had a bunch of over the counter pills in his pocket when he was arrested.

Over the past 13 months we have gotten to know Amber through her family and those who love her.  We have learned of her passion for wolves.  My son has the same passion for animals, especially those on the endangered list, and wolves are his favorite topic to write about in that category, so I am reminded of her at home.  We know what she likes, we know her character, we know she would never run away, we know she has perfect attendance, and so many other things.  A bright light has gone out in our world that can never be replaced, our history is forever changed by her death.

The one thing that this long period of time before finding her did, is make her better known to us and those who have been searching for her and following her case.  While it is optimal to find your loved one right away, this gave us the opportunity to know, to like, and to love Amber.  It is so hard to believe what has happened to her.  It makes me physically ill and uncontrollably sad.

Amber's family has been such crusaders for her, that she is well-loved is obvious.  I cannot imagine the pain they are going through, as just knowing her for 13 months has endeared her to my heart, where she will remain.

My deepest sympathy and condolences go to Amber's family and those who love her.  You have courage beyond what anyone could imagine.  God bless you, you will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
