Awww, CBB.....where was that dang thingy they removed?

It was a tumor a little smaller than a golf ball on the inside of her upper left leg, where it joins her tummy. No way to wrap it. The pathology report can take up to 10 days and they would tell me nothing at all about the way it looked.

Awe!  He is just so cute.  Is he feeling ok?  Is Mama just a nervous wreck?

I just gave my baby another 100cc of saline.  This time, I did a good job.  Problem is, now he is trembling.  He did not cry during it, he did get antsy.  Hmmm? He can be a bit of a drama king - takes after his father.

I am not sure what to think.  He is coughing now too.

Hi Blue Moon - How are you?  How is your mouth?  I think I was having sympathy pains for you!

Hi Art! - how are you?  Even you stayed signed on and don't hit refresh....you just kind of roll off the members lists.  You must have rolled off because I didn't see you on today.  Do I make any sense?

Hi MyTime

Yep, makes perfect sense

How is the little furguy doing tonight?

He is a little better.  He is eating, drinking and has even been able to bark a few times.  But he seems uncomfortable and I can't figure out what he wants.  He is usually good at letting me know too.

Right now, he is sleeping with PT!!  So, I am getting a little break from the 2 of them!

But soon I have to give him another 100cc of Saline and I hate doing it.  He hates it too so that gets me even more nervous but I do not want him to stay at the vets over the weekend so I guess I just have to suck it up!  Thank God for my daughter!  She is the best assistant.

Aw, it must be very difficult for you. I"m glad your daughter is helping you with it all.
He is really better off home with you as long as you can do this for him. He can be getting lovin while you treat him.  an angelic monkey

Here's my fur baby post surgery. She ruppled and ruppled the covers trying to find a way to lay down.....

She finally managed it and that's the way she likes it, and that's the way it's going to be!

She looks so comfy!  I think she is so adorable

She's not feeling well at all. I took those pictures just now. She could sit and lay easier when I first brought her home. I guess the numbing is wearing off.

I'm glad you had an easier time with it, MT. Just know that wat you are doing will make him feel better. It's part of loving him. I might check with the vet if the coughing persists, MT.

Thanks, Art, Deenie, and MT! How's Klaas doing today?

I didn't mean to put her in there with the fur babies! Although I think we all love them! I don't trust anyone who doesn't like dogs, and I know I'm in good company here with you guys!

Mytime does your Doggie have an Upper respiratory infection?
Why I ask is ..My Timmy when I first adopted him, he was 6wks old. He was from a shelter and was outside at a adoption event ..that was uncovered ..and it was pouring rain into the cages. ( I think this event put him over that he was already sick) ..

He I brought home and he just was not right. He not Doggie but Kitty. He never got up to move around. Never once meowed ..and I freaked. He would not eat, nor drink. Off to the Vet we went ..they pumped him full of saline under his fur and gave me liquid food to use within a syringe.  Days past he never changed.  Long story short. My GF worked at the humane society (9yrs in) and I called her ..because I had already gone to the Vet " 3 " times and was out of pocket 900.00 and Timmy had been shot up with Saline so many times it was insane  .. and I was sobbing can you help me.
She said come to the parking lot and I will meet you outside. She gave me a antibiotic for Canines.. was a dropper form. It was for upper respiratory infection for Dogs. Said on the Box not to be administered to Cats. Well .. I gave it to him and I waited.
Within a few hours he stayed the same and it was " I will never forget" 5 am ..and I felt and heard this little plop on my bed and a PURRR that sounded like a motor boat ..and it was Timmy. He is now Ten and happy and healthy and all is well.
I know though if I had not called my GF he would have died then at that time.
Secrets that not even the Vet knows.. I swear she saved his life.

CBB - what is the follow up care??

Stitches out in 10 days, and don't let her lick excessively. They'll call when the biopsy results are back.

Deenie - because of his age, he already had an enlarged heart which pinches his trachea and causes him to cough.  He has been on lasix for the last year.   I think the saline is causing some of the those issues again.  I will call the vet tomorrow and see what he says.  He is fully aware of his heart problems, although he was not the one to diagnosis it.  He mentioned someting about a potential problem, but to be honest, I was in a nervous wreck and only retained some of what he said.
