Authorities say they've confiscated 76 dogs after raiding an illegal puppy mill in Hollister.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded to an anonymous tip Thursday morning. Officials found there wasn't enough food and water on the property or enough room for the dogs to exercise. Several dogs also appeared to have eye infections.

The breeds included Pekingese, Yorkies, Pomeranians, long-haired dachshunds, Chihuahuas and terriers.

Authorities say the property was not zoned to be a kennel. It also failed to meet other regulations. The owner had not been charged, and authorities were working with him to return the animals if he complies with the law.

I agree!  Thank God some one called in!!!  I just don't understand how anybody could hurt a child, animal or an elderly person!    

When I worked as investigator for child abuse, I always felt good rescuing a child from a bad situation (usually drug addicted parents) but it broke my heart to leave the animals behind.....and I swear they all had animals.    

When my supervisor asked me to join a new team of investigators for just elderly abuse and I said NO!!!  I could never have down that job. 


(My daughter and I just mentioned this article to PT and he said NO, no more dogs!!  I am thinking no more PT!!      )

I just stopped by Preaches thread.....sometimes I like to go there when I really miss my MOM.   Peaches is someone I really wished I had the chance to meet.   I have heard so much about her and I know I would of loved her!   

I pray her family is doing well and her love is alive through them. I pray my MOM and Peaches have got to know each other and have had many laughs.  I have a strange feeling they have.
