Thank you Louise, it means a lot for you to say that and to know you share my feelings regarding the message of this. I feel like the duck who looks calm on the surface gliding along in the water, but is paddling like crazy underneath to stay afloat so often. Grief I have learned, can grow deeper and the pain isn't as urgent, but the sense of loss is untouchable.
My daughter reminds me of things I've forgotten though, such as how the Velveteen Rabbit was my most favorite children's book that I read over and over to them. I would tell them to have a life well-lived and well-loved would more than compensate for the tears and tatters over time. Now I have to live that and it's harder than I ever imagined, but as this message says, I do find comfort in having loved as I had never loved before.
