Babybear I don't mind helping people who are in need either.
My hubby and I are living the out of work,no insurance nightmare right now.
When he recovers from his surgery I don't know what he will do.
What I do know is I don't want my burdens placed on the backs of others. It's not right.
This is all about control.People thought the Messiah had been elected. They were wrong.

And by the way...every time I see your avi I laugh out loud.

I've been thinking about you guys and praying.   I know when my husband was laid off two years ago, it was so stressful.

I am so happy he has a shop.He can at least piddle around in there.I got to have my space.   Monkey Devil!  It is stressful .

OMG - when my hubby lost his job, he played his Xbox day after day and drove me nuts!   I thought I was going to lose it.  No kidding.  I was so happy when he finally found something.

Congressional Budget Director Warns Health Care Bills Will Raise Costs
On the heels of the Senate health committee's approval Wednesday of a plan to revamp U.S. health care, three House committees with jurisdiction over the issue shifted into action. But the director of Congress' budget office warns the proposals will raise costs.

<snipped>
The director of the Congressional Budget Office issued a warning to Democrats Thursday that their health care proposals would raise costs, not lower them.

One day after a Senate panel approved its version of the health care reform plan, the first committee to do so, CBO Director Doug Elmendorf gave a dose of bad medicine to a separate committee.

Asked by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., whether costs would be lowered -- also known as "bending the curve" -- Elmendorf responded: "The curve is being raised."

Subsidies to help uninsured people would raise federal health care spending, which is already growing at an unsustainable rate, Elmendorf explained at the hearing. The Medicare and Medicaid cuts that lawmakers have offered to pay for the coverage expansion aren't big enough to offset the cost trend, particularly in the long term, he said.

I agree.  I'm sure Klaas has a good idea if anyone else is involved in that BS.   I think Fanny should let her know her suspicions, if she hasn't already.    I don't know why people would want to come on a forum and upset it.   I never could understand trolls.   I guess they have nothing better to do.

Fanny - I just read your post over in Musings, about the trouble makers from Topix.   Have you emailed Klaas with your concerns?  I would.  Do you think these people are using the same names or did they register with new nics?

I was at DD before I came here.  There were a few mean people over there, too.   I really think Steel may have been there before coming to SM.
That Topix place is scary, I've been there a few times, actually the one in Oklahoma where the two little girls were shot. Some of those people are nuts

I've been to the only scary site I am going to today. Not going anywhere else.   Monkey Devil!

I know.  I guess they had no life and had to create a fantasy world?   I don't know.   I know that I've been thinking about spending more time/attention to my home/family life.   I visited my mom yesterday and she isn't doing very well.   I made them dinner and think I'm going to start spending more time with them.

The new cases in the MP threads are all so depressing and upsetting to read.    Watching the national news is also depressing these days.          I want to go back on vacation, permanently.

Good.        I wouldn't do anything to hurt you or anyone else.     But I do think there is more to come - just a gut feeling.   I wonder if the troublemakers will come from CnG.   I know they made fun of the posters at SM.   I think D was involved in that, actually.

But your tomatoes look pretty big to me

Fanny ...those plants look great!

Funny sign your son made.

The tomatoes are big and healthy, and some of the green ones are so big my son said he might have to get the meat slicer out to slice them up. It's just I am impatient for them to get ripe! We have had several of the cherry tomatoes to get ripe, I just want a good ole 'mater sandwich on fresh white bread and Hellman's mayonaise.

Oh I agree.   There's nothing like a tomatoe sandwich if the tomatoes are from Maryland.        YUM

Sorry to hear your mom isn't doing very well  an angelic monkey  She will appreciate you visiting more.  I just had a weird thing happen  The door bell rang, and the dog went nuts and I opened the door and there is this official looking guy standing there and he flips out a badge and on the top of the case it was in, it either said FBI or CIA, I didn't have my reading glasses on, and couldn't hear what he said with the dog barking. There is a middle eastern family that lives next door, and he wanted me to answer questions about the husband. The husband has been over in Iraq, doing somekind of work for the government, at least that is what he has said. He came back for two weeks, and now left again. I told him that I don't know them at all, I say hi, they have three kids and the youngest who is six is a pain in the butt. Which I guess I shouldn't have said  I kept telling him that I don't want to answer questions, because I don't know them, what good is it, I don't pay attention anyway. He was persistent, I'll give him that.  Any way he said okay, that I don't have to, so I said okay. I closed the door, and then realized I didn't have a bra on

Well Fanny, if someone has a problem with you, I would guess it is just jealousy.   You are a pretty smart and creative monkey.
I agree, Klaas is very fair and will look out for her people.

Yummmmmmmmmmy!

Last year, I could not keep up with our tomatoes we grew!

This year, the plants refuse to grow. I did plant them in the same place as last year, and they say to rotate from year to year, so maybe that is it.

I am jealous of your problems, Fanny. LOL
