Yup, stay away from the MJ thread.  All the lawyers are already doing their media tour and I have been flipping channels like crazy to avoid them.  Just found out that Billy May had signed to be the new spokesman for Taco Bell just before he died.

wow, he was going to be a Taco Bell spokesman?  I wonder who thought that ad campain up.

Last I heard, he had bitten the tongue of a hooker down in Miami. 

USAirways can breathe easier. The ME in Tampa, said no head trauma, no thrombosis from sitting, ref to Billy Mayes autopsy. Believed to be heart disease. Further testing on blood. No suggestion of drug overdose.

Mine are not ready to bloom yet either.  As stated that was from last year.  This was from this morning when I took the dog for a walk.

I decided to make veal scallopini with home made pasta for dinner. I need to get my noodles made so they can breath for a while.  BBL

Recipe?

For noodles or the veal?

What is your recipe for veal?

2 veal cutlets, 2 Tbsp flour, salt and pepper, 3 Tbsp butter, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1/4 lb fresh mushrooms sliced, 1/3 cup chicken broth, 4 tbsp cream, 2 tsp finely chopped fresh parsley and chives.

pound cutlets till 1/8 " thin. Put flour salt and pepper in ziplock bag with veal and shake to coat..  In a skillet heat 2 tbsp of the butter and the olive oil.  Add cutlets and fry for about 1 min on each side.  Take cutlets  out of skillet and put on serving platter,  add mushrooms to skillet .  Cook until tender 2-3 mins.  Spoon mushrooms over veal.  Stir broth into skillet and loosen all the brown bits.  add last Tbsp of butter, parsley, chives and cream.  Cook another 2 min until reduces and thickens.  Pour over veal and serve with noodles. YUM!

You are very welcome.   It is so simple and really fast.  If you cannot find veal you can find thin cut beef or the rouladin cut beef and it works just as well!  This is great over rice as well.

Thanks NoRose - I'm in Vancouver - the zenith of multiculturalism - veal is one of the easier things to find here.  I love the sound of the noodles ....rice and I - not so much.

You will have no problem finding the veal.  I loved to shop at Granville Market and then sit out and feed the seagulls  when we lived there.  That was before all those swanky condos were built and the whole False Creek area changed.
