I usually fly my flag on holidays, but I have put it up this morning, and will fly it for the rest of the week and over the weekend. I may even start flying it everyday from now on as I did after 911. I think we are in a worse crisis than we even realize, and people that love this country and want to see our American way of life continue need to stand up for both our country and our beloved service men. May God help us all.

BTW, The pound cake has practically no calories, even though it has two sticks of butter, 1/2 cup crisco, and three cups of sugar.

Love the bird pic, birds are so much fun to watch    My daughter getting ready for work, just non stop chatting, I don't even know if I'm coming or going, I said to her, next you are going to ask me why the sky is blue. Actually the sky isn't blue, she says to me, I said, who cares if it is purple    She is like a Chatty Cathy doll, she finally left for work. This is the same daughter that at 6 asked me if I was a lesbian    I changed the subject real quick

Thanks.I wrote the rest down and forgot the eggs.Grandson and I will be cooking.He loves to help make cakes.He just turned 9 on Tuesday.I'm trying to keep him interested.I told chicks dig guys that can cook.

AWW! the birds are the cutest. Why would anyone knowingly hurt an animal of anykind???  OK, I'll admit to eating meat, and have known hunters in my life. Funny, but most of them I know finally turned into animal lovers and only used their guns for target practice and left them locked up in a gun case or rack to admire.

I shot a mockingbird, yes a MOCKINGBIRD, once with a 22 rifle. I didn't have any idea I would really hit it, he was so far away. I never got over the revulsion of it! I still cringe when I think about it. I have been plenty mad at squirrels when they would raid the bird feeders, but I figure they have to eat too. I can tolerate mice, as long as they are outside. Rats, roaches, and snakes are another subject. I may not be a total animal lover afterall.
