I read it in an article yesterday, and then it was reported on Geraldo's show tonight, that Michael Jackson weight 8 stone at death.  A stone is equal to 14 pounds; therefore, he weighed 112 pounds at death and was 5 ft. 10 1/2 in. tall.  Boy...that is emaciated!  I would think that alone could cause heart failure (think Karen Carpenter).

Joe Jackson was seated with Al Sharpton at the BET Awards, the show promised to have been revamped to honor Michael.  In a way it was, but some of it was difficult to get thru with some lousy performances of others & went way long.

The shock of the night was at the end, Janet Jackson appeared obviously still very distraught but looking beautiful in all white.  She said that her whole family wished they could be there but it was just too painful & they elected her to come and say a few words.  She thanked everyone for the love and support the family has received.  She said "He may have been an icon to you, but to us he is family & he will always be in our hearts. (broke up) I miss him so much."  It was very brief & Jamie Foxx escorted her by the arm on stage & someone reached their hand out as she left the stage.

***

I agree that Farrah should have gotten more coverage but her passing was anticipated & to be quite realistic although she did have a decent career as an actress the two cannot be even remotely compared in accomplishments in their craft or what they contributed by way of charity, sorry but that is just the blunt truth.   Ed McMahon passed, he got his day of national mention & yet besides working with Johnny for decades he contributed to charity being one of Jerry Lewis's MDA right hand men for decades as well.  Billy Mays, the Oxy Clean & Orange Glo TV ad pitchman died, he's getting mentions about his passing, how do we bring that in the equation as to why he's newsworthy enough to receive national TV coverage & Farrah's passing is pushed back to page 6 due to that as well?  I do not think the media's focus on MJ's death was meant to be disrespectful to Farrah or anyone else that passed this same week, they were paying her respects from the day before she passed forward until this shocked the world, literally.  When you think about it not a soul on this forum will be mentioned on national TV when they pass, everything is relative and nothing is more sobering than realizing any one of us in comparison to a very minor few are just another spec in the sand on this earth.  No matter what your personal views are of Michael Jackson, his achievements in both aspects are of massive record breaking proportion, some of them may never be achieved to that level by anyone else ever again.  The second element of Michael's passing has brought on speculation of negligence or even criminal conduct as well as the enormous drama that is Michael Jackson good, bad & indifferent that has spanned 4 decades.  I respect Farrah as the actress she became after Charlie's Angels as well as how hard she fought her cancer, she should not be minimized on purpose nor do I feel she has been.      I also admire how hard & courageously my auntie & uncle battled their cancer, they are heroes to me in real life for a multitude of reasons, they both had souls of angels on earth to me yet they got no mention on national TV but no less significant to those they touched, I miss them inconsolably.

In an entirely different case scenario, one can labor over the thought as to why certain murder cases be it an adult or child get constant national tv attention and/or interest by the public & others are slightly covered or not even mentioned at all, sad but true.   I'm exhausted to further reflect this evening but my heart aches for many things we witness & my mind ponders both its relevance & what we can do to make changes on behalf of society as a whole constantly....tomorrow is another day & I plan on making the most of it because every day we are reminded just how short life can be.

Sleep well friends

Report: Jackson Bald, Bruised, Ribs Broken
Posted Jun 29th 2009 8:49AM by TMZ Staff

Michael Jackson's body was in terrible shape and he had only pills in his stomach when he died, according to a report out of London.

Jackson's hips, thighs and shoulders were riddled with needle wounds, The Sun is reporting. The paper -- which claims to have details of the autopsy -- is saying Jackson was bald at the time of his death and suffered several broken ribs, probably from the failed attempts to revive him.

There were four "injection sites" found above or near his heart, according to the paper, where rescue workers reportedly shot adrenaline into his heart in an attempt to restart it.

The Sun also says the autopsy found unexplained bruising on Jackson's knees and on the fronts of both shins.

Exactly, that was interesting. He died from drugs, period. People do everyday, maybe from these high profile deaths that involve drugs, people could learn from these incidents, but people don't, and probably never will. He is no different from others who have died and have been enabled, surrounded by yes men/women, too bad the family's intervention didn't help. To bad many family interventions have not helped their loved ones also. Maybe the family should talk about drug addiction and the toll it takes within a family. Makes sense to me.

Deepak Chopra was at least honest. He spoke of the enablers, etc.
..
I think that he was bled dry by the people around him. He didn't own Neverland any more, some management company did. They probably propped him up with drugs for this last tour of his so they could get more out of him. He didn't seem to have the stamina or the strengh to do 50 concerts did he ? I would have  been shocked if he had pulled more than 2 of these these concerts off.
I don't know who was involved and how he got insured for this or how he got a medical go ahead and was pronounced fit enough to do this.
From what I have been reading, Michael didn't have his assets any more, his advisers and business associates did. You all can think what you want, I think he was destroyed by those who professed to "love " him and help him out of his troubles.
I don't know who owns the Sony Beatles catalogue. There are so many lawyers and millions perhaps billions involved, we will never know the truth. It is the Madoff scandal of the entertainment industry.
..
We are going to hear from everyone who ever even glaced at MJ. His "bestest" friends.
They will all be on TV praising him, but if they were his friends, like where the heck have they been ? Probably spending MJ's money.

Jackson Doctor's CPR Technique Explained
Posted Jun 29th 2009 9:53AM by TMZ Staff

Now we know why Dr. Conrad Murray administered CPR on Michael Jackson's bed, even though it's routinely performed on a hard surface -- it was a "firm bed."

Murray's lawyer, Edward Chernoff, was on "GMA" this morning defending his client's actions after finding Michael unconscious in his bedroom.

To be blunt, WHAT A CROCK! coming from a cardiologist this does not pass the smell test

Jackson Lawyer -- Katherine Wants Custody
Posted Jun 29th 2009 8:40AM by TMZ Staff

A Jackson family lawyer strongly indicated Michael Jackson's mother wants custody of his three kids. Londell McMillan was on "Today" this morning -- where he said Michael's three children will most likely remain with his mother, Katherine, who currently has custody.

Video of Today Show appearance on site
http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/29/katherine-jackson-michael-jackson-custody/
McMillan said he hasn't heard that Debbie Rowe has an interest in undermining "the best interest of these children." But as we first reported, Rowe never gave up her parental rights and it's not about "best interest" -- under California law, Rowe could get custody for the asking unless there's proof it would be "detrimental" to the kids.

McMillan also addressed concerns over Dr. Conrad Murray -- saying the family is "troubled with the circumstances surrounding the death."

UPDATE BREAKING:   Katherine has just formally filed for guardianship of Michael's 3 children, no doubt with legal documents attached.

Kat MJ did sell a good portion of his Sony Beatles catalogue to get out of debt but he did indeed still own a percentage that ranges in reported amounts & it is being reported he may have willed it back to Paul McCartney.   Neverland had MJ also having some sort of interest still in it but it is unclear what percentage that is & they were renovating it at the time of his death.   But you are absolutely correct, this story is unfolding to be one of the biggest cases of business entities, attorneys & other entourage personnel profitting off of a celebrity at literally an "all costs" level.    It could be said minus Michaels' own responsibility for his health of which I think he was in very recent years too broken down both emotionally & physically to do on his own that he died by "death by entourage."

UPDATE BREAKING NOW:  Guardianship hearing will be held on my birthday, August 3rd.

Exactly, all I needed to see was that man that he called his father, and the interview he gave before going into the awards show last night, the interview I watched was on CNN. All Michael was to a lot of people was money and perks, nothing more than that.

Thanks Capp UPDATE BREAKING NOW:  Guardianship hearing will be held on my birthday, August 3rd.  Logically who else would take care of the three kids, I heard something about the nanny, but how would she have a chance? After seeing Joe on more than a couple occasions since Michael's death, I hope he doesn't go near these kids. They will never be good enough for him.

After seeing Joe on more than a couple occasions since Michael's death, I hope he doesn't go near these kids. They will never be good enough for him.

The nanny stands no chance whatsoever, all she could hope for is that the Jacksons would consider keeping her on as the childrens nanny since they are so familiar with her & she offers known stability to them in addition to family.  Listening to Grace's interviews, it appears she is being honest with certain things she observed but she's also recently embittered with how she was shut out of the Jackson's lives.  I believe Katherine is the absolute right person to have full & permanent custody but due to her age they must consider another stable family member second in line if her health fails to the point that she cannot care for the children completely & I really want to see a court appointed guardian ad litem assigned to each of the children so that they best interests both welfare & financial are overseen to their fullest with no agenda, there is way too much at stake in both regards.

I agree about Joe Jackson, I've never forgiven the fact that he abused Michael & his children pushing them to perfection while he saw it as a way to not have to do hard labor himself & this goes to well prior to Michael's self-mutilation and eccentric days I feel were a direct very significant result.   One thing positive I can say about Michael, bless him that he had it within him to forgive his father & they seemed to have a decent relationship in recent years, from great personal experience of hurt on top of hurt, I had to walk away for sanity versus a continued attempt at forgiveness - Ive concluded that individuals that abuse others are not worthy of forgiveness.   It is also interesting to denote that as much as Joe went to the BET Awards last night and walked the red carpet, the family chose Janet to speak briefly to the audience/viewing public & her grief was palpable.

Michael Jackson's Will Surfaces
Posted Jun 29th 2009 1:13PM by TMZ Staff

We've learned Michael Jackson's lawyer has a copy of the singer's will and he intends to file it with the court.

We're told the Jackson family doesn't have a copy of the will in attorney John Branca's possession. It's unclear how many wills Jackson made but Branca believes it's the most current.

Branca has a long history with Jackson. In 1985, Branca brokered the deal for Jackson to purchase The Beatles' publishing catalogue.

Branca and Jackson stopped working together in 2006 but the singer hired him back just three weeks ago.

Michael Jackson -- Drugs Likely Cause of Death
Posted Jun 29th 2009 1:26PM by TMZ Staff

Sources tell TMZ it increasingly looks like Michael Jackson died from a drug overdose.

We've already reported that Jackson got a Demerol injection the morning he died. We're told more than one drug may be involved.

The LAPD is still conducting an active investigation.

Personally, Im waiting on something a bit more concrete than "we're told" by any source...but there does seem to be question as to the care of Michael Jackson & this doctor seems to be lying along with AEG who hired him.   Yup, "Death by entourage."

Funeral plans are expected to be announced

I do think that is a good thing, and to keep the children together. Janet seems to be sensible, I can't say I have read to many things about her at all in a negative way.

MORE BREAKING NEWS AS OF FRIDAY JANET JACKSON HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO BE EXECUTOR TO MJ'S ESTATE & IS IN CHARGE OF MICHAEL'S FUNERAL - she is currently meeting with family, Al Sharpton and others.   It is being reported that a very large scale funeral is being planned with concerns on arrangements with the city, fire department, transportation dept, etc.

Grace the nanny took a cheap shot and stated that Katherine is after money, thats just too low for words - other people yea I truly believe that is true even of his father but not his mother nor Janet IMHO
