More help in search for Haleigh

Updated: Friday, 14 Aug 2009, 5:04 PM EDT
Published : Friday, 14 Aug 2009, 4:39 PM EDT

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - High profile Orlando defense attorney Mark Nejame and Texas EquuSearch founder Tim Miller announced Friday they will be helping in the search for a missing Putnam County girl.

NeJame says he was contacted by the family of Haleigh Cummings to help them locate her and then reached out to Miller to also help the Cummings family search for missing five-year-old Haleigh Cumming.   Photos of Haleigh

Putnam County Sheriff Investigators say Haleigh was kidnapped early on February 10th.
The last person to see her was her father's girlfriend, now wife, Misty Croslin, who placed the 911 call alerting police to Haleigh's disappearance.

Though authorities still have no suspect in the case, police say the Cummings case is not yet cold. A gathering of various law enforcement agencies on June 5 determined that there are still leads to follow up on. If you have any information on Haleigh's disappearance, please call 911.

Search for missing Haleigh Cummings to get help from attorney Mark NeJame, EquuSearch
Amy L. Edwards

Sentinel Staff Writer

4:30 PM EDT, August 14, 2009

High-profile attorney Mark NeJame announced today that he and the non-profit search group Texas EquuSearch will help the family of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.

NeJame, EquuSearch founder Tim Miller and the Cummings family will hold a press conference in Orlando on Monday to talk about their plans to proceed with the search. (my note - Monday is Haleigh's birthday)
Haleigh has been missing from her Satsuma home since February.

NeJame's office said he was contacted by Haleigh's relatives to help find the missing girl. The lawyer reached out to Miller, whose group helped search for Caylee Marie Anthony in Orange County.

NeJame once represented Caylee's grandparents.

Don't know Klaas, but I hope it will be soon and beneficial.  How was Nejame in representing the Caseys?  Is he on the up and up or just another publicity hound?

His face looked familiar to me, but that is about it.

I've been looking but can't find it. Does anyone know what family asked for help, Ron's family or Crystal's family?

hangnon says:  It was Ron that contacted Mr. NeJames and asked for his help to find HaLeigh.

I signed on as a member for the Caylee search.  I have searched for Haleigh too.  I am a new member with a lot to learn yet but I am definitely excited to learn we will be searching again.  I had back surgery not quite 3 mos ago and elbow surgery about 6 weeks ago but I think I am up to it again.  Good timing, very good timing.  If I find I can not actively search I will try and work at the command center, there is always something helpful to do.  I should have 3-5 other searchers I can bring with me, some members and some volunteers if they call for volunteers.
